A display device includes a light source part including a first light source and a second light source, a collimation lens that collimates light incident from the light source part, a wave guide that guides and diffracts the light incident from the collimation lens, a spatial light modulator that modulates the light passing through the wave guide so as to form a holographic pattern for reproducing a holographic image, a focusing optical system that focuses the holographic image on a space, and a light separating plate disposed between the light source part and the collimation lens, the light separating plate separating light of the first light source and light of the second light source from each other.

A holographic head-up display device includes: a light source portion that emits coherent light; an optical modulation portion that modulates the coherent light; a relay optical system that focuses the modulated light; a filter mirror that includes a reflection area disposed at a focal position of the relay optical system and reflecting light incident through the relay optical system and an absorption area disposed at the periphery of the reflection area and absorbing light incident through the relay optical system; and a transflective mirror that partially transmits and partially reflects light reflected by the filter mirror.

Holographic head-up display device

A display device includes: a display unit including a plurality of display panels which displays images of different colors, a lens unit on the display unit, an optical path controller on the lens unit, where the optical path controller generates a composite image by superimposing the images displayed by the plurality of display panels with each other, and an output unit through which the composite image is displayed. The optical path controller controls optical paths of light incident on a first surface of the optical path controller facing the lens unit and light incident on a second surface of the optical path controller, which is opposite to the first surface, and provides the composite image to the output unit.

A display device includes a display panel including a display surface having a Lambertian light emission distribution, and a viewing angle modulator disposed on the display panel. The viewing angle modulator includes a first refractive layer including a diffraction structure on a surface, a refractive index conversion layer disposed on the first refractive layer and including an electro-optical material having a refractive index that changes when a voltage is applied to the electro-optical material, and a second refractive layer disposed on the refractive index conversion layer. The refractive index conversion layer includes a base layer, and an optical structure disposed on the base layer that changes a path of light incident on a surface facing the second refractive layer.

A head mounted display device includes a lens assembly which changes a path of light; a main display module which outputs a main image and is positioned in front of the lens assembly; a main optical block which shields at least a portion of a light representing the main image such that the light representing the main image faces the lens assembly; a sub-display module disposed on a side of the main optical block and which outputs a sub-image; a sub-optical block positioned on the side of the main optical block and which shields at least a portion of a light representing the sub-image; and a light path converter positioned in the sub-optical block and which changes a path of the light representing the sub-image such that the light representing the sub-image faces the lens assembly.

Backlight unit and holographic display device including the same

A backlight unit includes: a light source unit including a point light source; and a light guide plate disposed on a path of light emitted from the light source unit, where a plurality of split patterns is defined in the light guide plate. The plurality of split patterns transmits a part of the light emitted from the light source unit and reflects a remaining part thereof, and the plurality of split patterns is concentrically arranged on the light guide plate and around the light source unit.

Liquid crystal display

Disclosed is an inorganic electroluminescent device. The inorganic electroluminescent device comprises a hole transport layer, a light-emitting layer, an inorganic electron transport layer and an electron injecting electrode sequentially formed on a hole injecting electrode wherein an insulating layer is formed between the electron injecting electrode and the inorganic electron transport layer. Further disclosed are a method for fabricating the electroluminescent device and an electronic device comprising the electroluminescent device. The inorganic electroluminescent device achieves uniform light emission from the entire light-emitting surface of the device, resulting in an improvement in the reliability and stability of the device. The inorganic electroluminescent device is suitable for use in the manufacture of electronic devices, including display devices, illuminators and backlight units.

Inorganic electroluminescent device comprising an insulating layer, method for fabricating the electroluminescent device and electronic device comprising the electroluminescent device

Disclosed are an optical film having a graded refractive index and a method of manufacturing the same. The optical film includes one or more antireflection films composed of a mesoporous material having a plurality of pores of a uniform size, and the pores of the mesoporous material are filled with air or a filler having a refractive index different from that of the mesoporous material, and thus the volume ratio of mesoporous material to filler in the pores thereof is controlled, thereby obtaining a desired magnitude of effective refractive index and ensuring a refractive index distribution in which the refractive indexes sequentially change, resulting in high antireflection performance. The method of manufacturing the optical film may be conducted using a nanowire growing technique, thus making it easy to realize mass production.
