An organic light emitting diode (OLED) display device and a method of driving the same are provided. A time point at which each of transistors is turned on is controlled without using an additional transistor so that a node connected to a source electrode of a driver transistor can be floated, and a node connected to a gate electrode of the driver transistor can be initialized to an initialization voltage level. Thus, initialization characteristics can be improved to enhance degradation of response characteristics and luminance, and a threshold voltage of the driver transistor and occurrence of a ripple at a high-potential voltage terminal can be compensated.

Organic light emitting diode display device for improving initialization characteristics and method of driving the same

An organic light emitting diode (OLED) display device and a fabrication method thereof are provided. In the OLED display device, when an existing power wiring using a metal used for a data wiring is divided based on a common electrode marginal region as a boundary so as to be used as a wiring as well as as the power wiring, the reduced width of the wiring is compensated for by increasing the thickness of the wiring by using a metal for an anode or a cathode, thus reducing the left and right bezel widths.

An electroluminescent display device includes a shielding pattern on a substrate; a thin film transistor including a semiconductor layer that is disposed on the shielding pattern and that has an active portion and source and drain ohmic contact portions; an organic electroluminescent diode connected to the thin film transistor; and a power line connected to the thin film transistor, wherein the shielding pattern partially covers the active portion of the semiconductor layer.

Disclosed are a driving circuit and driving method for an organic light emitting diode (OLED) device. The driving circuit for the OLED device comprises RGB pixels each including: a gate line arranged in a first direction and a data line and a power supply line arranged in a second direction crossing the first direction; a plurality of switching transistors connected to the region where the gate line and the data line intersect; a capacitor connected to the switching transistors and the power supply line; a driving transistor connected to the capacitor and the power supply line; an OLED connected to the driving thin film transistor; a variable voltage signal connected to one of the plurality of switching transistors; and a driving signal connected to at least one of the switching transistors, wherein the variable voltage signal is independently connected to the RGB pixels, and the transistors are thin film transistors.

Driving circuit active matrix type organic light emitting diode device and method thereof

An organic electroluminescent display device includes a scan line, a data line, a voltage supply line, a switching transistor connected to the scan and data lines, a driving transistor connected to the switching transistor and the voltage supply line, a storage capacitor connected between the switching transistor and the voltage supply line, and an organic light-emitting diode connected to the driving transistor and ground. A black display voltage applied to the data line is supplied to the driving transistor when a first gate ON signal is applied to the scan line. A video data voltage applied to the data line is supplied to the driving transistor when a second gate ON signal is applied to the scan line. The voltages are applied at least once each frame.
