This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses that support channel state information (CSI) reporting techniques for secondary cell (SCell) activation. A user equipment (UE) may receive one or more medium access control-control elements (MAC-CEs) that indicate a secondary cell (SCell) activation command, an aperiodic tracking reference signal (AP-TRS) trigger, and an aperiodic channel state information (AP-CSI) report trigger. The network entity may signal the SCell activation command, the AP-TRS trigger, and the AP-CSI report trigger in the same MAC-CE or in separate MAC-CEs. The UE may receive and measure AP-TRS in accordance with the AP-TRS trigger indicated by the one or more MAC-CEs, and may perform measurements via an aperiodic channel measurement resource (AP-CMR) and an aperiodic interference measurement resource (AP-IMR) in accordance with the AP-CSI report trigger indicated by the one or more MAC-CEs. Accordingly, the UE may transmit an AP-CSI report associated with the measurements.

Channel state information (CSI) reporting techniques for secondary cell (SCELL) activation

An apparatus may be configured to receive an instruction indicating one of a machine-learning (ML) channel state information (CSI) feedback scheme associated with a first spectral efficiency or a non-ML CSI feedback scheme associated with a second spectral efficiency; and report the CSI feedback to a network node using the indicated one of the ML CSI feedback scheme or the non-ML CSI feedback scheme. Another apparatus may be configured to select one an ML CSI feedback scheme associated with a first spectral efficiency or a non-ML CSI feedback scheme associated with a second spectral efficiency; transmit, to the UE, an instruction indicating the selected one of the ML CSI feedback scheme or the non-ML CSI feedback scheme; and receive, from the UE, the CSI feedback that is associated with the selected one of the ML CSI feedback scheme or the non-ML CSI feedback scheme.

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. Some aspects more specifically relate to sidelink communications and PSFCH padding. In some aspects, a channel occupancy time (COT) initiating UE may obtain physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) information indicating that a PSFCH transmission is to occupy a common interlace and one or more physical resource blocks. The COT initiating UE may communicate a padding signal within a PSFCH gap of the common interlace in accordance with identifying that the COT initiating UE and the responding UE are not to transmit hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback within the PSFCH gap of the common interlace. In some other aspects, the PSFCH information may indicate that the PSFCH transmission is to occupy a dedicated interlace, and the COT initiating UE may communicate a padding signal on a PSFCH resource within the dedicated interlace.

Physical sidelink feedback channel padding

Aspects relate to activation of a cell (e.g., an SCell) based on measurements made by a user equipment (UE) when the cell is not activated with respect to (e.g., as a secondary cell for) the UE (e.g., the cell is deemed by the network as an unknown cell for that UE). In this case, when the network requests the UE to conduct measurements with respect to that cell (e.g., in conjunction with activation of the cell), the UE may report information based on the measurements the UE conducted when the cell was not activated with respect to that UE.

Cell activation procedures

Aspects of the present disclosure allow for more efficient rate matching by allowing a triggered A-ZP-CSI-RS set to support rate matching around multiple slots. Aspects of the present disclosure may allow a triggered A-ZP CSI-RS set to be applied to less than all scheduled PDSCH slots when DCI schedules PDSCH on multiple slots. Aspects of the present disclosure may extend CSI-RS resource mapping to span multiple adjacent slots. In another instance, aspects of the present disclosure allow a resource mapping configuration to indicate an initial symbol of a plurality of symbols spanning the plurality of slots for a respective A-ZP-CSI-RS resource. Doing so also allows a PDSCH transmission in a slot among the plurality of slots using a rate matching pattern associated with a set of A-ZP-CSI-RE resources to be received. In addition, aspects of the present disclosure can also add periodicity to A-ZP-CSI-RS resource set configuration.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a message that includes an indication that a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state switch for the UE is to be across a serving remote radio head (RRH) and a next RRH. The UE may perform, during an idle mode of the UE, measurements of the frequencies associated with the TN cell based at least in part on a location of the UE being within the TN cell. Performing measurements of frequencies associated with terrestrial network cells

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described, in which a communication device (e.g., a user equipment (UE), a network entity) may perform carrier aggregation, and cross-carrier scheduling provides that a first carrier may provide scheduling information for one or more other carriers, in which the one or more other carriers may have different discontinuous reception (DRX) configurations than the first carrier. One or more DRX-related timers of different DRX groups may be started or restarted based on a control information reception on the first carrier, or on a different carrier of a different DRX group. Additionally, or alternatively, control information transmissions on the first carrier may be provided based on one or more DRX-related timers that are associated with the first carrier, or that are associated with a carrier of another DRX group than the DRX group of the first carrier, or any combinations thereof.

Cross-carrier scheduling techniques for multiple discontinuous reception groups

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some cases, a first user equipment (UE) may perform a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure to identify a channel occupancy time (COT). The COT may include some slots for transmitting a sidelink message and some sidelink synchronization signal block (S-SSB) slots for transmitting S-SSBs. In some examples, to fill a gap created by the S-SSB slots within the COT and thus maintain the COT across the S-SSB slots, the first UE or the second UE may transmit some signaling to provide transmissions in the S-SSB slots. For example, the first UE may transmit a padding signal, the second UE may transmit S-SSBs, or the UEs may use a gap control procedure. Upon filling the gap, the first UE may transmit a sidelink message to the second UE in slots of the COT excluding the S-SSB slots.

Maintaining channel occupancy time across sidelink synchronization signal block slots in unlicensed sidelink

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a first zone that includes one or more symbols at or before a scheduled common search space (CSS) and/or a second zone that includes one or more symbols at or after the scheduled CSS. The UE may monitor, or refrain from monitoring, a UE-specific search space at least partially included in the first zone, at least partially included in the second zone, or at least partially included in a combination of the first zone and the second zone. The first zone may include a first quantity of symbols and exclude a second quantity of symbols before the scheduled CSS, and the second zone may include a third quantity of symbols and exclude a fourth quantity of symbols after the scheduled CSS. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a network node, an indication of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) processing unit (PPU) limit associated with the UE. The UE may receive configurations for a plurality of search space sets, wherein the plurality of search space sets includes one or more linked pairs of search space sets with linked PDCCH candidates for PDCCH repetition.
