An image sensor includes a pixel array including pixels, an image data generation circuit configured to generate first image data based on signals of the pixels and output the first image data, and an image data translation circuit configured to generate second image data based on translating the first image data and outputting the second image data to an external host device. The image data generation circuit has a vertical blank interval and a frame interval alternately, is configured to not output the first image data during the vertical blank interval, and is configured to output one frame of the first image data during the frame interval. The image data translation circuit is configured to perform a preparation operation to translate a frame of the first image data into a frame of the second image data in a next frame interval, during the vertical blank interval.

Image sensor and operating method of image sensor

An electronic apparatus includes a main processor, a first memory connected to the main processor, an image processor that controls a photographing operation in response to a control signal from the main processor, and a second memory connected to the image processor. If the main processor is completely booted up after the image processor is completely booted up, the image processor controls the photographing operation in response to a shutter release signal, and stores an image captured according to the photographing operation in the second memory. The method includes determining whether the main processor is completely booted up, if the image processor is completely booted up; if the main processor is not completely booted up, controlling a photographing operation, by the image processor, in response to a shutter release signal; and storing an image captured according to the photographing operation, in a memory of the image processor.

Electronic apparatus and method of controlling the same

A digital photographing apparatus with a display unit on a front surface thereof and a method of controlling the same. The method includes setting a self photographing mode; generating countdown information for self photographing; determining a subject distance; and displaying the countdown information together with a captured image on the display unit when the subject distance is shorter than a reference distance. Thereby, a photographer may see a preview along with the countdown information so that a desired self-photographed image may be acquired.
