An air conditioner and a control method thereof are provided. The air conditioner includes a sensor portion including at least one sensor, a controller including at least one control portion to control a function of the air conditioner, and at least one processor operatively connected to the sensor and the controller. The at least one processor is configured to obtain an airflow speed and indoor environmental data by the sensor portion while the air conditioner is operating, generate a first algorithm by applying the obtained airflow speed, the indoor environmental data, and pre-stored reference data to a second algorithm, and control operation of the air conditioner based on the generated first algorithm.

Air conditioner and method for controlling the same

A refrigerating system including an air conditioning system and a cooler system is provided. An air conditioner-side refrigerant passage may be connected to a cooler-side refrigerant passage to allow refrigerant to flow between the air conditioning system and the cooler system. Thus, if a cooler-side compressor experiences abnormal operation, cooler-side refrigerant may be compressed by an air conditioner-side compressor so as to maintain cooling performance of the refrigerating system.

Refrigerating system

A combined refrigerating/freezing and air conditioning system is provided. The system may include an air conditioning circuit, a refrigerating circuit, a freezing circuit, a first heat exchanger, and a second heat exchanger. The air conditioning circuit may include a compressor, an outdoor heat exchanger, and an indoor heat exchanger. The refrigerating circuit may include compressor, a condenser, and an evaporator. The freezing circuit may include a compressor, a condenser, and an evaporator. The refrigerant of the air conditioning circuit may be heat-exchanged with the refrigerant of the refrigerating circuit in the first heat exchanger, and the refrigerant of the refrigerating circuit may be heat-exchanged with the refrigerant of the freezing circuit in the second heat exchanger to improve air conditioning efficiency and refrigerating/freezing efficiency of the system.

Multi-type air conditioner including a plurality of compressors, a plurality of temperature sensors mounted in the plurality of compressors for sensing temperatures in the compressors respectively, and an equalizing pipe in communication with the plurality of compressors, for uniform distribution of oil among the plurality of compressors according to the temperatures sensed at the plurality of temperature sensors respectively, thereby distributing oil among the compressors uniformly at an exact time point at which the oil is distributed among the compressors non-uniformly, not only to permit improvement of the performance of the compressors, but also to permit improvement performance of the air conditioner having the compressors.

Multi-type air conditioner and method for controlling the same

The air conditioning system comprise an outdoor unit, a plurality of indoor units connected to the outdoor unit by each refrigerant line, and a refrigerant line closing unit installed at the refrigerant line of the indoor unit for preventing a refrigerant flowing on the refrigerant line of the indoor unit from being introduced into the outdoor unit when power supply to one or more indoor units is cut off.

Air-conditioning system and apparatus for protecting the same

A multi-type air conditioner includes an outdoor unit, one or more indoor units communicating with the outdoor unit, and a liquid-stay preventing device heating and evaporating a liquefied refrigerant so as to prevent the liquefied refrigerant circulating between the indoor unit and the outdoor unit from being accumulated at a low pressure side including the indoor unit. Accordingly, a liquefied refrigerant is not accumulated in an indoor unit and a connection pipe, which are a low pressure side where the pressure is relatively low, but smoothly passes therethrough regardless of a height difference between the indoor unit and the outdoor unit. Therefore, the efficiency of the multi-type air conditioner is improved. Also, because the refrigerant deficiency is prevented from occurring at a high pressure side, the reliability of the cooling operation is improved, and the liquefied refrigerant accumulated at the low pressure side is introduced into a compressor of the outdoor unit, thereby preventing damage to the compressor.
