Disclosed are a porous membrane having improved water permeability and elongation at break as well as high mechanical strength and impurity rejection rate and a method for manufacturing the same. The porous membrane of the present invention comprises a symmetric bead structure comprising a plurality of spherical crystallites. Each of the plurality of spherical crystallites comprises a plurality of sub-spherical crystallites.

Porous membrane and method for manufacturing the same

The present disclosure relates to a polymer electrolyte membrane having a construction wherein an ionomer is charged in pores of a nanoweb having a high melting point, being insoluble in an organic solvent and having excellent pore characteristics, under optimum conditions. Therefore, an overall thickness of the electrolyte membrane may be reduced, thereby attaining advantages such as decrease in ohmic loss, reduction of material costs, excellent heat resistance, low thickness expansion rate which in turn prevents proton conductivity from being deteriorated over a long term. The polymer electrolyte membrane of the present invention comprises a porous nanoweb having a melting point of 300&#x25a1; or more and being insoluble in an organic solvent of NMP, DMF, DMA, or DMSO at room temperature; and an ionomer which is charged in pores of the porous nanoweb and contains a hydrocarbon material soluble in the organic solvent at room temperature.

Polymer electrolyte membrane for a fuel cell, and method for preparing same

Disclosed is a pressurized hollow fiber membrane module that exhibits improved durability without deterioration in packing density and permeation flux. The pressurized hollow fiber membrane module includes a composite hollow fiber membrane comprising a tubular braid woven by yarns and a polymer film on the outer surface of the tubular braid. At least one of the yarns comprises a small-fineness filament and a medium-fineness filament. The small-fineness filament comprises first monofilaments having a fineness of 0.01 to 0.4 denier, the medium-fineness filament comprises second monofilaments having a fineness higher than 0.4 and lower than 3, and a ratio of thickness of the tubular braid to outer diameter thereof is 15 to 35%.

The present invention relates to polymer membranes for separating olefins from paraffins which have the similar molecular size and close boiling point. More particularly, it relates to a silver salt-containing facilitated transport membrane for olefin separation, and also a method for producing the same. An object of the present invention is to provide a silver salt-containing facilitated transport membrane for olefin separation having improved stability, and also a method for preparing the same, which exhibits no deterioration in membrane performance even when operated for an extended period of time. The facilitated transport membrane for olefin/paraffin separation of the present invention comprises a polymer, a silver salt, and a phthalate compound represented by the following formula (1)wherein R denotes an alkyl group of 2 to 8 carbon atoms or a phenyl group.

An anti-fouling paint comprising a self-polishing copolymer which contains at least one side-chain bearing an organic half-ester at one terminal group exhibits an improved anti-fouling property, storage stability, and resists the cracking, peeling, and flaking problems which usually occur in paint film during long-term exposure. In particular, the use of such paint shows excellent adhesion properties on pre-coated, tin-based anti-fouling paint.

A color electroluminescence(EL) display element and the manufacturing method thereof which can improve an RC-time delay phenomenon and the contrast of the EL display element. According to the EL display element, an auxiliary metal electrode is formed on a transparent electrode. The auxiliary metal electrode is formed by forming on the transparent electrode a metal film having a high melting point and a low resistivity, such as molybdenenum, with a thickness of about 1000 .ANG., and then by selectively etching the metal film so that it remains on the boundary between each of R, G, and B color filters with a width of about 5 to 30 .mu.m. The color filters are formed on a circular polarizing plate and sealed up with the auxiliary metal electrode, and thus the circular polarizing plate absorbs an external light incident to and reflected from a metal electrode.

Structure of thin film electroluminescent device

A thin-film EL display having a high-contrast ratio comprising a transparent ceramic substrate. A background electrode is formed on the lower surface of the ceramic substrate. A photochromism layer is formed on the upper surface of the ceramic substrate. The photochromism layer is black-colored when exposed to a required wavelength of light of 3,500 .ANG. to 5,100 .ANG.. Therefore, it is possible to avoid decrease in the contrast of the display device which may be caused by external light or light emitted from the fluorescent layer itself.
