Provided is an apparatus for receiving an unmanned mail capable of automatically acquiring the address information even though the user does not directly input the address information. The apparatus acquires address information of an addressee by automatically recognizing the address of the mail when the address is written on the mail, and acquires the address information of the addressee through the paper on which the address is printed or written, identification, and biometric recognition when the address is not written on the mail. The apparatus may acquire the address information of the addressee through a mail sender's voice.

The present invention relates to a loading control apparatus capable of aligning the mail automatically. The loading control apparatus includes a distribution unit configured to guide mail, inputted to the cargo box of an unmanned receipt apparatus, to any one of a plurality of mail capacity boxes, a gravimetry unit configured to measure the weight of the mail loaded onto the mail capacity box, and a control unit configured to determine a mail capacity box onto which the mail will be loaded based on the weight received from the gravimetry unit and control the distribution unit based on a result of the determination. In accordance with the present invention, registered ordinary mail received through the unmanned receipt apparatus is automatically aligned and loaded in order of the receipt of mail.

4-state bar code printing and reading system and method for controlling the same

This invention is related to a system and a method for reading high precision printed barcodes and their specification verification. The presented invention has a technique of reading both logistic sorting barcode (one or two dimension) and multi-layered structure barcode such as four-state barcode for automatic postal matter sorting. The invention also investigates height of high densely reduced barcodes in more than 3 steps, and precisely measures and reads the values of black bars thickness and white spaces. Previous techniques used laser beam for reading barcodes, but could not read barcodes, which have print density of less than 1/100 mm&tilde;1/1,000 mm unit, and, it was also impossible to read precise specification values in case that barcode specification was composed of length unit indexes. The presented invention overcomes the previous said problems by using a laser diode array.
