The invention concerns a product consisting in an injection medicinal formulations comprising at least one compound to provide a viscous formulation, ethanol and at least one compound making said formulation opaque to X rays so as to control its delivery and its action. Said formulation is in particular useful for treating herniated invertebral discs but also in intervention having demonstrated the efficacy of pure ethanol: treatment of hepatocellular tumours or osteoid osteomas, renal cysts and arterial-veinous angiomas.

A catheter device for the treatment of a vessel carrying body fluid, comprising an inner first occlusion catheter, having a first tubular shaft with a proximal end and a distal end, a distal occlusion balloon disposed at the distal end of the first tubular shaft and an inflation lumen extending through the first tubular shaft between a proximal entry at the proximal end and a distal exit inside the distal occlusion balloon, and an outer treatment catheter, having a second tubular shaft with a central lumen extending therethrough for coaxial reception of the first occlusion catheter, and being longitudinally displaceable with respect to the first occlusion catheter, further comprises a seal for the proximal entry of the inflation lumen, having an outside dimension small enough to fit within the central lumen for advancing, resp. withdrawing, a treatment catheter proximally onto, resp. from, the sealed first occlusion catheter, treatment catheters are exchangeable while the distal occlusion balloon is maintained in its inflated condition.

Ballon catheter for stent implantation

A catheter device having, in coaxial arrangement, an insertion catheter, a dilation catheter and an occlusion catheter. By means of the occlusion catheter a vessel carrying body fluid is closed off in the direction of flow following a stricture. By means of the dilation catheter, the stricture is treated by dilation. The occlusion catheter positioned beyond the stricture prevents an embolism due to detached particles flowing off. After treatment of the stenosis, vessel fluid together with any detached particles is removed by suction and washed out through the insertion catheter.
