Disclosed is a dynamically stabilizing intervertebral implant including a stabilizing wedge, a flexible link in the form of a strap, and a blocking pin. The body of the stabilizing wedge includes a recess extending along a longitudinal axis, coincident with the posterior approach axis, and through which the strap passes. The blocking pin can engage inside the recess by movement in the recess longitudinal direction. The strap is immobilized with respect to the stabilizing wedge by being clamped between the pin and the facing recess wall. An tubular implant holder has an internal channel through which the blocking pin can be inserted and guided as far as the recess, in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the recess, when the implant holder is fixed to the stabilizing wedge so the internal channel and the recess are in parallax relative to each other.

Dynamically stabilizing intervertebral implant and tool for positioning same

Disclosed is a dynamically stabilizing intervertebral implant composed of a stabilizing wedge (), a blocking pin (), a locking screw (), and a flexible link in the form of a strap. The stabilizing wedge includes a recess () through which the strap can pass. The blocking pin can come into engagement with the wedge by movement inside the recess in the direction of the main axis of the body of the wedge in such a way that the longitudinal axis of the blocking pin firstly coincides with the longitudinal axis of the recess, secondly is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the first strap portion inside the recess, and thirdly is parallel to the surface of the first strap portion inside the recess. The strap is immobilized with respect to the stabilizing wedge by being clamped between the blocking pin and the inner wall of the recess.

The invention relates to an intervertebral implant comprising a spacer designed to be applied between two spinous processes of two vertebrae. The spacer comprises: two elements () made of a first material, and each presenting a first end () and a second end (), said first end () being securable to a spinous process; and a connection piece () made of a second material of greater elastic deformability than said first material, said connection piece interconnecting said second ends () of said two elements () so that the stresses that are exerted on said two elements () are damped, and said connection piece enabling said intervertebral implant to limit and brake the relative movements of said vertebrae.

The invention provides an intervertebral implant for the lumbo-sacral joint, the implant consisting in a spacer suitable for being placed between the fifth lumbar vertebra and the sacral vertebra articulated thereto, the body of said spacer presenting in its top face a groove extending in the midplane of the spacer and suitable for receiving the spinous process of said lumbar vertebra. A longitudinal housing oriented orthogonally to said groove is formed in the bottom face and is suitable for receiving the top portion of the sacral vertebra. The longitudinal housing is defined by an extension and by a tab of width narrower than the width of the body of the spacer. The section of the housing in the midplane of the space is generally U-shaped, being inclined relative to the bottom of the groove.

The invention provides an intervertebral implant for the lumbo-sacral joint, the implant comprising a spacer suitable for being disposed between the fifth lumbar vertebra L5 and the vertebra S1 of the sacrum that is articulated to the vertebra L5. The implant comprises a flexible tie having end portions suitable for being fastened to the sacrum with the help of fasteners such as pedicular screws. The flexible tie has an intermediate portion suitable for co-operating with a connection system such as a hook provided on the spacer so that the flexible tie connects the spacer to the sacrum.
