An interface device adapted to be positioned between a ski and an assembly for retaining a boot on the ski, the device including front and rear platforms that are raised with respect to the surface defined by the upper surface of the ski. The platforms are supported by a cradle having a reduced length with respect to the volume of the platforms, each of the platforms being connected to the cradle by a bearing journal, and both platforms being connected to each other by a non-extensible connection located above the journals. The invention also relates to the combination of a retention assembly and a ski.

The invention relates to a ski equipped with a beam and a device intended to modify the stiffness and/or shock absorption of vibrations. The ski includes (1) at least one elongated element oriented longitudinally with respect to the ski, connected to the ski by a rigid linkage and which includes at least one free end, suited to be displaced longitudinally with respect to the ski when the ski is biased in flexion, and spaced longitudinally from the rigid linkage, and (2) a resistance device connected to the ski that cooperates with the free end in order to resist its displacement, the resistance force of the resistance device that resists the displacement of the free end decreasing between a minimum displacement position and a maximum displacement position. Such a ski maintains its stable qualities in a horizontal position and improves its pivoting and steering characteristics during tight turns.

The invention relates to an interface device between a boot and a ski for modifying in a dynamic manner the pressure distribution of the ski on the snow. The device includes two binding elements, a mobile sensor, a return rocking device, and an element affixed to the ski. The rocking device is arranged to transform a vertical bias exerted on the sensor into a traction bias exerted on the element affixed to the ski. In reaction, a traction bias of the same type can be transmitted towards the rear of the ski.
