New derivatives of hydrazinium phosphites, their preparation and fungicidal compositions in which they are present are described. The new fungicidal derivatives have the formula ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 =H, or an alkyl radical containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and R.sub.2 =H, or a phenyl nucleus which is optionally substituted by one or more of the following atoms or radicals: halogen, alkyl radicals, containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and the nitro radical; however, it is not possible for R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 to simultaneously represent a hydrogen atom. These products can be used in agriculture for combating fungal diseases in plants.

Fungicides hydrazinium phosphites

Compositions for controlling fungus disease are disclosed which contain as active material a fungicidally effective amount of at least one compound of the formula ##STR1## IN WHICH R is an optionally halogenated or nitrated, linear or branched alkyl radical containing from 1 to 18 carbon atoms and preferably from 1 to 8 carbon atoms, an optionally halogenated alkenyl or alkinyl radical, an alkoxy alkyl radical, an alkenoxy alkyl radical, the hydrocarbon portion of these four types of radicals containing from 1 to 8 and preferably from 1 to 5 carbon atoms, a cyclohexyl radical, an optionally substituted aryl radical, preferably phenyl, or aryl alkyl radical, preferably phenyl alkyl, or even a heterocyclic radical optionally attached to the oxygen through an aliphatic chain, preferably tetrahydrofurfuryl, M represents an ammonium cation, ammonium substituted by 1 to 4 alkyl or hydroxy alkyl radicals containing from 1 to 5 carbon atoms or by 1 to 2 cyclohexyl radicals or a phenyl radical, or a cation of a metal from the group comprising the alkali metals, preferably sodium and potassium, alkaline earth metals, preferably magnesium, barium, calcium, and polyvalent metals such as, preferably, zinc, manganese, copper(I) and (II), iron, nickel, aluminium,

Fungicidal compositions based on phosphorous acid esters and salts

Compositions and methods for their use are described for controlling parasitic fungi in and on plants containing, as active material, at least one compound corresponding to the formula ##STR1## in which R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5 and R.sub.6, which may be the same or different, represent hydrogen; halogen; nitro; alkyl, halo-alkyl or alkoxy carbonyl radical containing from 1 to 5 carbon atoms, and n = 0 or 1. The compositions are topically and systemically active and are applied to the susceptible plants, seeds, soil or its transportation or handling means and may be associated with an agricultural vehicle which facilitates its application. Compositions may also contain other agriculturally acceptable components including insecticides and other fungicides.

Diphosphorus derivatives and fungicidal compositions containing them

Fungicidal compositions for controlling fungus diseases in plants are disclosed. These compositions contain as their active materials compounds and polymers thereof corresponding to the formula: ##STR1## in which Y', Y', Z' and Z' represent a hydrogen atom or an optionally halogenated alkyl radical containing from 1 to 5 carbon atoms. Included within these active materials are the hydrolysates, salts and quaternary salts of these phospholanes. These cyclic phospholanes or phosphites and their hydrolysates are compatible with other commercial fungicides and the compositions disclosed include these compounds above and in combination with such other fungicides.
