A condenser for a motor vehicle air-conditioning circuit includes a multitude of stacked main-section plates assembled to delimit first flow channels for a refrigerating fluid which alternate with second flow channels for a cooling fluid. The condenser includes at least two passes over the refrigerating fluid. The condenser also includes at least one condenser inlet and one condenser outlet for refrigerating fluid. The condenser also includes an inlet pass over the refrigerating fluid communicating with the condenser inlet and an outlet pass communicating with the condenser outlet. The cross section of the passes diminishes from the inlet pass towards the outlet pass.

The invention concerns a condenser consisting of stacked plates () provided each with a raised peripheral edge () in sealed assembly to define flow channels between the plates for a refrigerating fluid (F) and a cooling fluid (F). The plates comprise communicating passageways () for the passage of the refrigerating fluid and the cooling fluid from one flow channel to the other. Annular ducts () are provided opposite the communicating passageways to prevent the fluids from being mixed. A bottle () is interposed between a cooling section () and sub-cooling section (). The invention is applicable to motor vehicles.

The invention relates to a hydraulic circuit element () for heat exchange between a first fluid and a second fluid, which defines a path for the first fluid and comprises at least one tube () having two ends and at least one tip () at one of said ends of the tube (), said tip having at least one communicating passage () that defines the path of the first fluid. The invention also relates to a heat exchanger obtained by stacking circuit elements (). Such a heat exchanger can be used in particular in motor vehicles.

Heat exchanger for recovering heat from the exhaust gases of a motor vehicle, in which the exhaust gases circulate between two manifolds delimited by respective caps and by the end walls of a cylindrical casing, passing in tubes which are elongated in the axial direction in the casing. The caps are produced by stamping from a thin sheet metal, which leads to a reduction in weight and in cost and allows the caps to remain fitted snugly by elasticity on the ends of the casing, until brazed.

A tubular heat exchanger for a motor vehicle has a header comprising a header plate and a header cover brazed to the header plate. The header plate has a base portion which is arranged to be joined to the bundle of tubes of the heat exchanger, and the header cover is terminated by a peripheral edge portion which is engaged within a peripheral flange of the header cover surrounding the base portion of the latter. This base portion is provided with a multiplicity of press-formed projecting elements which are spaced apart close to the peripheral flange, and the peripheral edge portion of the header cover is held in contact with the header plate flange by these projecting elements prior to the brazing operation by which the edge portion of the cover is brazed to the header plate flange.

A heat exchanger, especially a cooling radiator for motor vehicle engine, comprises a multiplicity of tubes of oblong cross section, each having an end portion fitted in a corresponding hole formed in a header plate, the joint being sealed by means of a sealing gasket. The sealing gasket has a tubular portion compressed between each tube end portion and an internal surface of the corresponding hole in the header plate, each tube end portion being formed with a peripheral bead spaces away from the terminal edge of the tube.
