Method and device for ensuring the safety of a low-altitude flight of an aircraft. A device () for ensuring the safety of a low-altitude flight comprises information sources () able to determine current flight conditions, a monitoring unit () for realizing, with the aid of said current flight conditions, a function for global and autonomous monitoring of said low-altitude flight of the aircraft, making it possible to preserve the integrity of said aircraft during said flight, and means () for presenting the results of the monitoring function realized by said monitoring unit () to an operator.

Method and device for ensuring the safety of a low-altitude flight of an aircraft

A method and device for ensuring the safety of a low-altitude flight of an aircraft is disclosed, wherein low-altitude flight is flight along a flight trajectory at low altitude, for example 500 feet, that allows an aircraft to follow as closely as possible the terrain being over-flown. To avoid collision with the terrain, a safety corridor, devoid of any obstacle, is determined which is delimited on either side of the lateral trajectory, and whose width depends on a global uncertainty, and the aircraft is guided along the flight trajectory, avoiding any exit of the aircraft from the safety corridor.

A method for displaying flight information includes displaying a first characteristic sign illustrating a speed vector of an aircraft. The method also includes determining a first longitudinal margin of maneuver of the aircraft as a load factor, and displaying a second characteristic sign such that a position of the second characteristic sign relative to the first characteristic sign illustrates the first longitudinal margin of maneuver.

Method for displaying flight information

A display system for an aircraft includes a central unit configured to determine a speed vector of the aircraft and to determine a longitudinal margin of maneuver of the aircraft. The longitudinal margin of maneuver is expressed as a load factor and is related to one of a pitch-up maneuver and a pitch-down maneuver. The display system also includes a display unit connected to the central unit. The display unit includes a display screen configured to display a first characteristic sign illustrating the speed vector and a second characteristic sign illustrating the longitudinal margin of maneuver.

Display system for an aircraft

The device () for aiding piloting comprises means () for determining a speed vector of the aircraft, means of depiction () for presenting on a display screen () a first characteristic sign illustrating the speed vector of the aircraft, and auxiliary means () for determining at least one longitudinal margin of maneuver of the aircraft, which is expressed as a load factor and which relates to one of the two maneuvers of pitch-up and of pitch-down of the aircraft. The means of depiction () moreover present, on the display screen (), at least one second characteristic sign which is associated with said first characteristic sign and which illustrates the longitudinal margin of maneuver.
