A method for monitoring the free space of a stack of a microcontroller during the execution of a process using spaces of the stack from a start address to an end address of the stack, in which the method includes: in a prior step, writing N keys in the stack at N addresses of the stack, the memory space between two consecutive keys decreasing in a direction from the start address to the end address of the stack; and, in a step of executing the process, saving the address of the current key, corresponding to the address of the existing key, among the N keys, that is closest to the stack start address.

Disclosed is a method of locating the position of wheels of a vehicle equipped with an electronic unit for measuring operating parameters of each wheel, involving, for the purpose of locating the position of a wheel, the ordering of the transmission, by the electronic unit outfitting that wheel, of n RFi signals transmitted at times tto tfor angular positions &#x3b8;to &#x3b8;of the electronic unit, to a central unit additionally connected to speed sensors that are each positioned in proximity to a wheel and able to furnish data &#x3b4;representative of the orientation of the wheel.

Method for locating the position of the wheels of a vehicle, each equipped with an electronic module for measuring operational parameters of each wheel, includes: controlling the transmission, by the module equipping that wheel, of n signals transmitted at times tto tfor given angular positions &#x3b8;to &#x3b8;of the module, to a connected central processing unit, and to speed sensors each positioned close to a wheel, capable of delivering, values convertible into angular values, data representing the orientation of the wheel. The central processing unit is programmed to calculate, for each series of angular values &#x3b4;to &#x3b4;provided by a wheel measuring sensor at the times tto t, a characteristic value V-Vr representing the dispersion of the values &#x3b4;, (&#x3b4;&#x2212;&#x3b8;) . . . (&#x3b4;&#x2212;&#x3b8;), and to compare the characteristic values to allocate, to the electronic module, the position of the wheel located close to the wheel speed sensor.
