Disclosed is a dispensing device comprising a base unit and an articulated arm portion which extends from a part of the base unit, the base unit further comprises an actuation mechanism which includes a capacitive-type sensor for dispensing liquid and adapted to receive a refill unit insertible into the base unit in an inverted configuration with its outlet lowermost for the supply of liquid to the base unit.

Dispensing device

An arrangement for detecting toilet flushing by utilizing an acoustically-based motion detector in a simple amplifier circuit. The detector is in contact with the toilet bowl, which acts as a resonant system. Upon detection of such flushing, a subsequent event, such as a cleaning or disinfecting a toilet, ventilating the surrounding area or releasing deodorant into the area, may be triggered. The mechanically resonant system with the provided circuit is capable of separating frequencies from the frequency of the flushing water in a specific bowl design and provides a high degree of immunity to unwanted ambient frequencies. In addition, the system consumes low power and is suitable for battery power operation.

Toilet flush detection system utilizing transducer with piezoelectric sounder element

A dispenser for dispensing a product, the dispenser comprising a base unit () into which a refill () containing the product is removably insertable in a fixed position. The refill has a taggant ink () on part of its external surface. The base has a light source () to illuminate the ink. The light source has a first wavelength and the ink is arranged to cause the ink to emit light at a second different wavelength. A sensor () receives light emitted by the ink upon illumination by the light source. A control circuit receives signal indicative of the wavelength of the detected light from the sensor, compares it with stored data, and prevents operation of a dispensing mechanism unless the refill is authentic.

Soap dispenser with authentication check of the refill

A dispenser having a base unit with an actuation mechanism for dispensing liquid and a refill unit insertable into the base in an inverted configuration with its outlet lowermost to supply liquid to the base. The refill comprises an annular wall projecting into the base and defining an outlet from the refill. The annular wall is closable by a valve element. The base comprises a hollow spigot and an annular seal surrounding and spaced from the spigot whereby insertion of the refill into the base causes the spigot to enter the annular wall and lift the valve element from the annular wall to define a flow path from the refill to the spigot. The base also comprises a proximity sensor and an inclination sensor each of which may independently or jointly trigger the actuation mechanism causing the device to operate to deliver one or more doses of liquid from the dispenser.

A container assembly for use with a dispenser with a feed tube, the assembly comprising a container; a cap fixed to an opening in the container; the cap having a passageway therethrough to allow, in use, the feed tube of a dispenser to pass through the cap and into the container; the cap including a movable element secured to the cap in a first position prior to first insertion of the feed tube by a deformable support element arranged to deform upon insertion of the feed tube into the cap to free the movable element to be supported, in use, in a second position, by the feed tube to preserve the passageway, the movable element being configured to move, upon removal of the feed tube from the container, to a third position at least partially within the passageway in which replacement of the feed tube through the cap is obstructed.

A method of forming a water soluble container, comprising an injection moulded water soluble polymer, in which is present a fabric care, surface care or dishwashing composition, by injection moulding a thermoplastic material into a mould, wherein before or during the injection moulding process the mould is actively heated, the mould being at an elevated temperature, below the melting point of the thermoplastic material, throughout the injection moulding process.

Automatic toilet bowl treatment device

A method is provided for producing a plurality of moldings in one mold wherein the mold has at least one introduction point for molding material and a plurality of cavities with a shape corresponding to that of the moldings. The cavities are arranged so that each cavity, except cavities in an end or peripheral position, is connected to at least two directly adjacent cavities. A fluid casting compound of a material having a solidified hardness of not more than about 200 N, defined as the force at which an 11 mm sphere of the material will shatter, is introduced into the mold, so that it essentially fills all of the cavities, and the casting compound is then solidified and removed from the mold.
