A sorting device including successive load carrying platforms having a front edge and a rear edge for supporting products to be sorted on a supporting surface, a conveying mechanism conveying the load carrying platforms in a conveying direction along a conveying path, a sorting mechanism including plural pusher elements pushing a product to be sorted sideways off at least one supporting surface at a desired sorting location. The pusher elements each extend above at least one load carrying platform and are arranged for being jointly conveyed with the at least one load carrying platform in the conveying direction. A drive mechanism moves the at least one pusher element sideways at the desired sorting location. An arcuate shape of a front edge of a load carrying platform, as seen in top plan view, abuts an arcuate shape of a rear edge of a next load carrying platform.

Sorting device

A sorting device for sorting products, for example pieces of luggage, including a removing mechanism moving the product to be sorted off the supporting surface at a desired sorting location, wherein the removing mechanism includes a pusher element and a moving mechanism moving the pusher element laterally at a sorting location so as to have the pusher element push the product to be sorted off the supporting surface. The removing mechanism further includes two guides each sorting unit for guiding two respective guide members of the pusher element during the lateral movement of the pusher element.

A device for conveying products along an endless conveying path, which device includes a frame, an elongated flexible conveying element supported by the frame, which includes links that are pivotable relative to each other about vertical pivots, load-carrying platforms each having a supporting surface at the upper side, which supporting surfaces jointly form a substantially closed, common supporting surface for the products, which load-carrying platforms are connected to the conveying element via supports and whose supporting surfaces adjoin each other at curved forward and rearward edges thereof, and a drive for driving the conveying element. The drive includes a driving element and the conveying element includes an element driven by the driving element. The driven element forms part of the links of the conveying element.

Product conveyor with load-carrying platforms

The invention relates to a device for sorting products, which device comprises adjacently arranged supporting units which are movable in a direction of transport along a conveying path, each supporting unit being provided with at least one load carrying platform comprising a supporting surface for supporting a product. The load carrying platform is supported by a support member, which can be tilted by tilting means about an axis of tilt parallel to the conveying path with respect to a conveying element forming part of a supporting unit, which conveying element is movable along a guide extending according to said conveying path. The tilting means comprise at least one cam which can be rotated by drive means about an axis of rotation extending parallel to the axis of tilt, spaced from said cam by some distance, during which rotation the cam moves over a camway so as to cause the support member to tilt about the axis of tilt, between a neutral position and an extreme position, through rotation of the cam about the axis of rotation.

Device and method for sorting products

A conveyor system including at least one support, each support having on a top side a mainly flat bearing surface extending between the support's front longitudinal top edge and back longitudinal top edge, at least one push shoe, each push shoe supported by one of the at least one support, each push shoe including, a guiding unit extending under the level of the bearing surface, a pushing unit extending above the level of the bearing surface and connected to the guiding unit.

The invention relates to a method for operating a device and to a device for conveying loose objects from a supply station to a delivery station, wherein a conveyor is used by means of which trays containing objects can be moved. The conveyor includes at least one carrier for receiving said trays, which carrier can be moved in an intended direction of movement with the aid of driving means and which can be selectively pivoted about a pivot axis at at least one desired location. The object is either removed from the tray by pivoting the carrier about the respective pivot axis, whereby the object slides off the tray in a first direction, or the tray and the object are jointly removed from the carrier by moving the tray and the object in a second direction transversely to said first direction.

Method and device for conveying objects

The invention relates to a conveyor comprising a frame and a drivable endless conveying element, which is provided with carriers extending transversely to the intended direction of movement of the conveying element during operation, which carriers are coupled to at least one endless flexible coupling member, while at least a few carriers support pusher elements. The pusher elements are connected to guide means, which are capable of cooperation with guide rails supported by the frame, all this in such a manner that a pusher element can be moved in the longitudinal direction of the associated carrier in one or more places during operation. The carriers are provided with wings, which bound receiving spaces being disposed one behind the other and having mutually different dimensions, measured in the intended direction of movement of the conveying element.

Conveyor

The invention relates to a conveyor provided with a frame and with an endless conveying element, which can be moved in a longitudinal direction by a drive mechanism during operation. The conveying element furthermore includes interconnected carriers, which are pivotable with respect to each other about upwardly extending pivot pins. The carriers are guided by guide wheels coupled to the carriers, which during operation roll on guide rails connected to the frame, and which are near end portion thereof provided with guide wheels, which are rotatable about axes of rotation extending parallel to the pivot pins. A pivot pin, about which a carrier is pivotable with respect to the adjacent carrier, lies in one plane with the axes of rotation extending parallel to the pivot pin of the guide wheels provided on the adjacent carrier.

Conveyor with endless conveyor element having interconnected carriers

A conveyor provided with an endless conveyor belt making a curve, which near its ends is passed over rollers journalled in a frame, and which can be driven during operation. A collar is provided near one edge of the belt located on the outer side of the curve, which collar is engaged by guide rollers supported by the frame. A guide roller engaging a collar is capable of pivoting movement about a pivot axis, which extends at least substantially parallel to the belt part supporting the collar and which, as seen in a longitudinal direction, is located on the side of the collar remote from the side that cooperates with the guide roller. Furthermore a mechanism is provided by which the guide roller can be locked against being pivoted about the pivot axis when the guide roller is in engagement with the collar.

A conveyor including a frame and an endless drivable conveying element, which is provided with carriers extending transversely to the intended direction of movement of the conveying element during operation. The carriers are coupled to at least one endless flexible coupling member. While at least a few carriers support pusher elements, which pusher elements are connected to guides, which are capable of co-operation with guide rails supported by the frame. During operation a pusher element can thus be moved in the longitudinal direction of the carrier in one or more selected places along the intended direction of movement during operation. Seen in cross-sectional view a carrier comprises two upwardly extending legs bounding a recess having a U-shaped or V-shaped section and being open at its upper side, which legs are interconnected by a connecting piece forming the bottom of said recess. One leg of a carrier extends over a greater height than the other leg of said carrier and the greater height leg of a carrier is provided with a wing which extends over the upper end of the smaller height leg of an adjacent carrier.

A conveyor is provided with at least one flexible elongated transporter which is movable lengthwise by a driving mechanism. Overlapping platforms are coupled to the transporter by the use of supports. At least some of the supports connecting the platforms to the transport mechanism are capable of pivoting movement with respect to the transporter about pivot pins extending parallel to the longitudinal direction of the transporter. Mechanisms are provided for causing selected supports and the platforms connected thereto to pivot about associated pivot pins in at least one predetermined place. The supports are arranged in spaced-apart groups of two supports disposed near each other, whereby the platforms connected to the supports of one group extend from the respective supports in a direction away from each other. The end of a platform connected to one support of a group which faces away from the support in question is overlapped by the end of the platform connected to the support in question of the adjacent group which faces away from the support of an adjacent group. Screens extending from the adjacent ends of the platforms connected to the supports of a group in the direction of the transporter link up with the ends of the platforms.

The invention relates to a conveyor comprising at least two endless conveyor belts being in line, whereby the facing ends of said conveyor belts are positioned near each other and whereby the upper parts of the belts being utilized for transporting goods during operation at least substantially lie in one plane. The end of one conveyor directed towards the end of the other conveyor is deflected downwards and is disposed under the nearby end of said other conveyor. A filling piece is provided above the part of the downwardly deflected end of the one conveyor that is positioned beside the respective end of the other conveyor, whereby the upper surface of said filling piece at least substantially lies in one plane with the upper parts of the belts being utilized for transporting goods during operation.

A conveyor is provided with at least one flexible elongated transporter which is movable lengthwise by a driving mechanism. Overlapping platforms are coupled to the transporter mechanism by mechanism of supports. At least some of the supports connecting the platforms to the transport mechanism are capable of pivoting movement with respect to the transport mechanism about pivot pins extending parallel to the longitudinal direction of the transporter. Mechanism are provided for causing selected supports and the platforms connected thereto to pivot about associated pivot pins in at least one predetermined place. The supports are arranged in spaced-apart groups of two supports disposed near each other, whereby the platforms connected to the supports of one group extend from the respective supports in a direction away from each other. The end of a platform connected to one support of a group which faces away from the support in question is overlapped by the end of a platform connected to the support in question of the adjacent group which faces away from the support of an adjacent group. Screens extending from the adjacent ends of the platforms connected to the supports of a group in the direction of the transporter link up with said ends of the platforms.
