An attachment is configured to connect a first connecting plate of a vehicle component to a second connecting plate of a vehicle body. The attachment includes a body, first, second and third flanges, and a press-fit insert. The attachment is of an elastically deformable material and is configured to be inserted into first and second through holes of the first and second connecting plates. The flanges engage the connecting plates when the attachment is inserted into the through holes. The body includes a hole extending longitudinally within the body to accommodate the press-fit insert. The press-fit insert has a diameter greater than the diameter of the hole to form a snug connection between the press-fit insert and the hole. The insertion of the press-fit insert into the hole elastically deforms the attachment to urge the body radially against the connecting plates to provide a robust connection between the connecting plates.

A heat exchanger includes a core and a tank. The tank is equipped to a side of the core. The tank has a pocket, which is a space having an opening. The pocket is configured to receive a nut through the opening and to accommodate the nut.

Heat exchanger with replacement pin

The present teachings provide for a flow restrictor for a coolant line of an internal combustion engine coolant system. The flow restrictor can include a restrictor element and a biasing member. The restrictor element can include a restrictor plate and a tab non-rotatably coupled at an angle. The biasing member can rotationally bias the restricting element to a first position where the restricting plate is substantially parallel to the flow of fluid. The tab can be configured to create a torque on the restricting element to overcome the biasing member and rotate the restricting plate to block a portion of the fluid flow path when the flow exceeds a predetermined flow rate.

Low resistance flow regulator

A heat exchanger has a plurality of tubes and a plurality of fins alternatively arranged to define a core portion of the heat exchanger. A side plate is arranged at opposite sides of the core portion. Each end of the tubes and side plates extend through a core plate. Each core plate mates with a respective tank to define a sealed chamber. The ends of the tubes are disposed within the sealed chamber. The ends of the side plates and disposed outside the sealed chamber. This allows for a non-brazed connection between the core plates and the side plates.
