A tray for a vaporization vessel that includes a tray having a side wall, a bottom plate, one or more apertures that extend through the bottom plate, and a duct that extends through and from the bottom plate. The tray configured to support a solid reagent to be vaporized. A method of assembling the tray that includes forming a first tray that has the side wall and the bottom plate. A vaporization vessel that includes one or more of the trays.

Vaporization vessel and method

Vaporizer vessels include one or more reagent support panels, serving as dividers of interior space of the vessel, in a vertical orientation such as when filling the vaporizer vessels, and when rotated into a horizontal orientation, the panels support the vaporizable solid materials placed in one or more chambers formed by the panels and interior walls of the vessels and enable transfer of heat to those solid materials. The chambers are such that any or all chambers filled with the vaporizable solid materials provide a void space to allow the solid materials to vaporize and for gas to move through the vaporizer vessels when heated, to allow effective vaporization of the solid materials and further allow the vapor resulting from the solid materials to move to an outlet of the vessels where it can be provided as part of a process.

A LNG liquefaction plant system includes concurrent power production, wherein the refrigeration content of the refrigerant or SMR is used to liquefy and sub-cool a natural gas stream in a cold box or cryogenic exchanger. For concurrent power production, the system uses waste heat from refrigerant compression to vaporize and superheat a waste heat working fluid that in turn drives a compressor for refrigerant compression. The refrigerant may be an external SMR or an internal LNG refrigerant working fluid expanded and compressed by a twin compander arrangement.

Systems and methods for LNG refrigeration and liquefaction

A method for removing heavy hydrocarbons from a feed gas by: feeding, into an absorber, a top reflux stream and a second reflux stream below the top reflux stream, wherein the absorber produces an absorber bottom product stream and an absorber overhead product stream; depressurizing and feeding the absorber bottom product stream to a stripper to produce a stripper bottom product stream and a stripper overhead product stream; cooling and feeding a portion of the absorber overhead product stream back to the absorber as the top reflux stream; and pressurizing and feeding the stripper overhead product stream back to the absorber as the second reflux stream. Systems for carrying out the method are also provided.

Integrated heavy hydrocarbon and BTEX removal in LNG liquefaction for lean gases

Systems and methods for pre-cooling a natural gas stream to a liquefaction plant. A system may include a compressor configured to receive a first natural gas stream at a first pressure and produce a second natural gas stream at a second pressure; an exchanger to cool the second natural gas stream; and an expander to receive the cooled natural gas stream and expand the cooled natural gas stream to produce a chilled natural gas stream. The refrigeration content of the refrigerant is used to liquefy and sub-cool the natural gas stream to produce liquefied natural gas in a cold box or cryogenic exchanger. The refrigerant may be an external gas or an internal refrigerant working fluid expanded and compressed in a twin compander arrangement and compressed by a refrigerant compressor, or an external single mixed refrigerant working fluid compressed by a refrigerant compressor and expanded thru a JT valve.

Methods and configurations for LNG liquefaction

Heavy hydrocarbon and BTEX removal from pipeline gas to LNG liquefaction

Systems and methods for liquefying a gaseous hydrogen that include a first refrigeration stage and a second refrigeration stage. The first refrigeration stage includes a first heat exchanger configured to flow a first refrigerant to pre-cool the gaseous hydrogen. The second refrigeration stage includes a second heat exchanger configured to flow a second refrigerant to liquefy and sub-cool the hydrogen. The second refrigerant is split into two streams that flow through two compressor-expanders and multiple passes through the second heat exchanger before being recombined to repeat the second refrigeration stage circuit.

Methods and systems for hydrogen liquefaction

A LNG liquefaction plant includes a propane recovery unit including an inlet for a feed gas, a first outlet for a LPG, and a second outlet for an ethane-rich feed gas, an ethane recovery unit including an inlet coupled to the second outlet for the ethane-rich feed gas, a first outlet for an ethane liquid, and a second outlet for a methane-rich feed gas, and a LNG liquefaction unit including an inlet coupled to the second outlet for the methane-rich feed gas, a refrigerant to cool the methane-rich feed gas, and an outlet for a LNG. The LNG plant may also include a stripper, an absorber, and a separator configured to separate the feed gas into a stripper liquid and an absorber vapor. The stripper liquid can be converted to an overhead stream used as a reflux stream to the absorber.

Systems and methods for LNG production with propane and ethane recovery

A tamper-resistant containment package is described, including a container; a cover configured to engage with the container so that the container and cover form an enclosed volume; and at least one tamper-resistant mechanical fastener that is cooperative with the cover and container to render the containment package tamper-resistant when the container and cover are engaged in a sealed state isolating the enclosed volume from an ambient environment surrounding the containment package. Such containment package is usefully employed for storage and transport of chemical reagents that pose a health, safety, and/or environmental risk if released to an exterior environment of the containment package.

The invention is directed to a configurable vaporizer or ampoule assembly that uses a configurable vessel body, assembled from one or more support tray modules with their own individual heating assemblies or heater members, bounded by a base member and a lid member to form the whole ampoule. This eliminates the need for the prior art ampoule body that normally holds the support trays and was used to heat each of the support trays from the exterior surface using heating jackets or the like.

A system for processing a gas stream can include a physical solvent unit, an acid gas removal unit upstream or downstream of the physical solvent unit, and an LNG liquefaction unit downstream of the acid gas removal unit. The physical solvent unit is configured to receive a feed gas, remove at least a portion of any Chydrocarbons in the feed gas stream using a physical solvent, and produce a cleaned gas stream comprising the feed gas stream with the portion of the Chydrocarbons removed. The acid gas removal unit is configured to receive the cleaned gas stream, remove at least a portion of any acid gases present in the cleaned gas stream, and produce a treated gas stream. The LNG liquefaction unit is configured to receive the treated gas stream and liquefy at least a portion of the hydrocarbons in the treated gas stream.

Heavy hydrocarbon removal from lean gas to LNG liquefaction

An apparatus and method for protecting sensitive electronics in a gamma radiation detector tool configured to be disposed in a borehole. The apparatus comprises a scintillator crystal and a photomultiplier tube disposed in either a single or individual housings. The housing(s) are bordered by springs configured to dampen axial vibrations. The housing(s) may be dampened from lateral vibrations by a lateral shock reducer on a sleeve that circumscribes the housing(s). The method comprises dampening axial and lateral vibrations to the crystal/photomultiplier during a drilling operation.

A system may comprise a compressor configured to receive a first natural gas stream at a first pressure and produce a second natural gas stream at a second pressure; an exchanger, wherein the exchanger is configured to receive the second natural gas stream as the second pressure and cool the second natural gas stream to produce a cooled natural gas stream; and an expander, wherein the expander is configured to receive the cooled natural gas stream and expand the cooled natural gas stream from the second pressure to a third pressure.
