An improved camming stem system including a head member, a plurality of cam lobes, a connection system, and a retraction system. The cam lobes may be selectively rotatable between an extended state and a retracted state with respect to at least one axle of the head member. The connection system may create an elongated, substantially rigid region by intercoupling the head member with a loop. The connection system is configured to create an elongated partially rigid region by intercoupling the head member with a loop, wherein the connection system comprises a twisted cable coupled between the head member and the loop, and wherein the loop is oriented substantially parallel to the at least one axle, and wherein the twisted cable includes a twisting radial angle of at least 90 degrees.

Camming stem system

One embodiment relates to an improved camming stem system including a head member, a plurality of cam lobes, a connection system, and a retraction system. The cam lobes may be selectively rotatable between an extended state and a retracted state with respect to at least one axle of the head member. The connection system may create an elongated, substantially rigid region by intercoupling the head member with a loop. The retraction system is configured to selectively engage the retracted state with a trigger assembly which is slidably externally coupled to the connection system. The trigger assembly further includes a coupling member coupled with the plurality of cam lobes via a plurality of retractor wires, at least one trigger cable fixably coupled to the coupling member, a trigger coupled to the at least one trigger cable, a sleeve member intercoupled between the coupling member and the trigger.

Camming retraction system

In one example, a therapy system is provided that includes an inner layer and an outer layer including first and second portions and disposed outside of the inner layer. A therapeutic device, such as a cold pack for example, is provided that is configured to be positioned inside the inner layer. The therapy system also includes an adjustable tightening mechanism connected to the first and second portions of the outer layer and operable to change a position of one of the first and second portions relative to the other of the first and second portions so as to adjust a magnitude of a compressive force exerted by the outer layer on an extremity of a user when the extremity is positioned within an opening defined by the inner layer.

Cryotherapy compression system

In one example, a rehabilitation device includes a fixed length leg support having first and second spaced-apart, generally parallel elongate members having first and second ends, and a handle is rotatably coupled to the first ends of the elongate members. The rehabilitation device also includes an angularly-adjustable coupler by way of which the handle is rotatably coupled to the elongate members. The angularly-adjustable coupler is operable to implement variations to an angle cooperatively defined by the handle and the fixed length leg support, and the angularly-adjustable coupler includes a locking mechanism operable to releasably lock the handle at various different angular positions relative to the fixed length leg support.

Knee rehabilitation device

A knee rehabilitation device is provided which can be used in various stages of knee rehabilitation to facilitate a full range of knee motion and promote joint flexibility following a knee impairment. The device, which can be used by a patient with or without the aid of medical personnel, is simple to use, compact, and is highly adjustable to accommodate different therapy regimens, and different leg sizes. To achieve maximum stretch of affected tissues of a pathologic joint, the device can be used without the need of lower extremity muscle involvement. A first embodiment device is machined or cast from a lightweight structural metal, such as titanium, aluminum or magnesium. The device includes a handle of adjustable length that is rotatably coupled to a parallel-beam leg support. The leg support provides attachment points for multiple adjustable bands that bridge the gap between the parallel beams.

In one example, a rehabilitation device includes a first element having first and second spaced-apart, generally parallel elongate members having proximal and distal ends. A second element is rotatably coupled to the first element and includes first and second spaced-apart, generally parallel elongate members having proximal and distal ends. One of the first and second elements is angularly adjustable relative to the other. A measurement device includes a measurement element connected to one of the first and second elements and configured for rotation relative to one of the first and second elements, such that when the rehabilitation device is operably disposed with respect to a joint of a patient, the measurement element is arranged for contact with anatomy of the patient. Finally, a scale is disposed proximate the measurement element and indicates a position of the measurement element relative to another portion of the rehabilitation device.

One embodiment of the present invention relates to an active camming device including a head member, a set of cam lobes, a connection system, and a retraction system. The cam lobes are configured to rotate between a retracted state and a spring biased extended state. The connection system includes a lengthwise cable coupled to the terminal. The retraction system is uniquely configured to enable selective engagement of the retracted state of the cam lobes with respect to the cam head. The retraction system includes slidably externally coupling a trigger and retraction sleeve to the cam lobes over the cable. A set of independent sleeves are also slidably coupled to the cable over the retraction sleeve between the trigger and cam lobes. The independent sleeves may be conically shaped and oriented to adjacently internest with one another so as to protect the retraction sleeve during operation of the refraction system.

Camming device stem

One embodiment of the present invention relates to a ski boot system including an upper shell, lower shell, and an articulation system. The upper and lower shell function to enable a user to move their encased foot in various dimensions/orientations corresponding to anatomical supination, pronation, dorsiflexion, and plantarflexion. The articulation system selectively affects the articulation freedom between the upper and lower shells in locked and unlocked configurations. The articulation system includes a lower shell coupler and an upper shell coupler coupled to the lower and upper shells, respectively. The locked configuration of the articulation system includes engaging the upper and lower shell couplers to restrict freedom between the upper and lower shell. The lower shell coupler is coupled within a recess in the lower shell that substantially restricts movement to a single orientation corresponding to coronal rotation.

Selectable boot articulation system

A smaller-active camming device including a head member, a plurality of cam lobes, a retraction system, and a connection system. The head member includes a terminal and an axle. The axle comprises a unique configuration of multiple radial regions extending from opposite sides of the terminal. The radial regions of the axle are offset with respect to one another along at least one three dimensional axis. The offset of the radial regions is configured to reduce the geometrical interference of the cam lobes across the camming range.

Camming device

A geometry-shifting strap for a binding having a baseplate is disclosed. The geometry-shifting strap is shiftable between a closed position wherein the distal end of the geometry-shifting strap is biased or disposed over the baseplate, and an open position wherein the distal end of the strap is not over the baseplate. The strap includes at least one arcuate element that biases the strap to the closed position when the arcuate element is in a concave configuration, and biases the strap to the open position when the arcuate element is in a convex configuration.

One embodiment of the present invention relates to an improved wire-gate carabiner system including a frame, gate, and gate biasing system. The gate is pivotably coupled to the frame across an opening to form a continuously enclosed inner region in a closed configuration. The gate may be referred to as a wire-type gate in that it includes an arch and two ends. The arch is looped over a hook disposed on the keyed region of the frame in the closed configuration. The two ends are pivotably coupled to the frame at two independent gate coupling points on the pivot region so as to utilize the torsional rigidity of the gate structure as the gate biasing system. The keyed region of the frame includes a hook and a cover. The cover is oriented and shaped to laterally shield the arch and hook from undesirable couplings.

Wire-gate carabiner

A scoop for measuring and dispensing powdered or granular material has at least one projection, such as a fin, multiple intersecting fins, or a spike, which enable the scoop to be 'parked' in the surface of a powdered or granular food product without the handle of the scoop coming in contact with the product. The projection is preferably molded unitary with the scoop and handle. Unless the container is vigorously shaken, dropped, or subjected to extreme accelerative or decelerative forces, the scoop will remain in its parked position until the container is reopened for a further dispensing of the powdered or granular food product. The scoop may be packaged as an assembly in combination with a discardable floating scoop retainer disk, that is placed on the surface of the granular or powdered product, and prevents the scoop from sinking below the surface during shipping and handling.

The invention generally relates to a selectable boot articulation and support system. One embodiment of the present invention relates to a boot system including an intercoupled upper and lower shell configured to encase a user's foot and lower leg. The boot system further includes an articulation system effecting the articulation between the upper and lower shell. The articulation system includes an instep member coupled and positioned with respect to the upper shell in a manner that facilitates selection between a locked configuration and an unlocked configuration. The unlocked configuration provides increased articulation and decreased stiffness between the upper and lower shell with respect to the locked configuration. The instep member may include a releasable dorsal coupling between portions of the upper shell. The instep member may also include one or more moveable lateral couplings with the upper shell.

Selectable boot support and articulation system

One embodiment of the present invention relates to a ski boot system with a modular binding interface. The system includes a shell encasing a user's foot and lower leg. A first and second block are interchangeably coupled to the shell below the base to effectuate alternative binding interfaces. The first and second blocks include a binding interface surface and a sole surface. The positioning and shape of the blocks with respect to the shell results in the binding interface surface extending distally from the toe region of the shell and the sole surface being the lowest surface on the boot system. The binding interface surfaces for each block are positioned at different sagittal heights with respect to the shell to facilitate the interconnection with alternative binding coupling systems. The sole surfaces for each block are positioned at substantially identical sagittal heights with respect to the shell to maintain optimum and consistent performance characteristics among different bindings.
