Provided herein are compounds useful for binding to one or more histone deacetylase enzymes (HDACs). The present application further provides radiolabeled compounds useful as a radiotracer for position emission tomography imaging of HDAC. Methods for prepared unlabeled and labeled compounds, diagnostic methods, and methods of treating diseases associated HDAC are also provided.

HDAC6 inhibitors and imaging agents

Provided herein are radiolabeled compounds useful for minimally invasive imaging techniques. An exemplary radiolabeled compound provided herein is useful as a radiotracer for position emission tomography imaging of voltage gated sodium channels. Methods for prepared unlabeled and labeled compounds, and diagnostic methods using the compounds are also provided.

Voltage gated sodium channel imaging agents

Disclosed herein are histone deacetylase imaging agents for positron emission tomography and related imaging methods using the histone deacetylase imaging agents. The histone deacetylase imaging agents may be a compound of formula (I): wherein Ris a moiety including a positron emitter; Rrepresents hydrogen, or substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, or substituted or unsubstituted aryl, or substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl; and n is an integer selected from 0 or 1. In one version of the compound of formula (I), Ris a moiety including an adamantyl group.

Imaging histone deacetylases with a radiotracer using positron emission tomography

Provided herein are radiolabeled compounds useful for non-invasive imaging techniques. An exemplary radiolabeled compound provided herein is useful as a radiotracer for positron emission tomography. The present application also provides unlabeled compounds useful in methods of treating diseases of the central nervous system or disease of the peripheral nervous system. Methods for preparing radiolabeled compounds, preparing unlabeled compounds, and diagnostic methods using labeled or unlabeled compounds are also provided.

A method for providingC-labeled cyanides fromC labeled oxides in a target gas stream retrieved from an irradiated high pressure gaseous target containing O, whereinC labeled oxides are reduced with Hin the presence of a nickel catalyst under a pressure and a temperature sufficient to form a product stream comprising at least about 95%CH, theCHis then combined with an excess of NHin a carrier/reaction stream flowing at an accelerated velocity and the combinedCH4 carrier/reaction stream is then contacted with a platinum (Pt) catalyst particulate supported on a substantially-chemically-nonreactive heat-stable support at a temperature of at least about 900&#xb0; C., whereby a product stream comprising at least about 60% HCN is provided in less than 10 minutes from retrieval of theC labeled oxide.

Isotopically labeled formaldehyde (*CHO) is prepared from labeled methyl iodide (*CHI) by reaction with an oxygen nucleophile having a pendant leaving group. The mild and efficient reaction conditions result in good yields of *CHO with little or no *C isotopic dilution. The simple, efficient production ofCHO is described. The use of theCHO for the formation of positron emission tomography tracer compounds is described. The reaction can be incorporated into automated equipment available to radiochemistry laboratories. The isotopically labeled formaldehyde can be used in a variety of reactions to provide radiotracer compounds for imaging studies as well as for scintillation counting and autoradiography.
