A stun grenade includes a cartridge having an explosive charge in communication with a fuse and a housing including a closed end, an open end, a longitudinal axis and including an internal cavity which accommodates the cartridge. An end cap is attachable to the open end of the housing, the end cap including an end wall and a side wall. A plurality of spaced first vents are defined in the end wall of the end cap. A plurality of spaced second vents is defined in an end wall of the housing. The output from an explosive charge is optimized by vents having a straight flow path. The vents have a first end in fluid communication with the cavity and a second end in fluid communication with an exterior periphery of the housing.

Low-weight small-form-factor stun grenade

A trip flare with flash bang has a body having a sidewall and a hollow interior, a lid releasably attached to the body, the lid including a fuse, the interior of the body containing an illuminant composition in communication with the fuse, and a flash bang charge composition in communication with the fuse and attached to the lid by an elongated flexible tether. The tether may be a coil when received within the interior of the body. There may be an ignition composition proximate the illuminant composition such that combustion of the ignition composition ignites the illuminant composition. The flash bang charge composition may have a pyrotechnic fuse proximate the ignition composition such that combustion of the ignition composition ignites the pyrotechnic fuse. There may be a first fire composition proximate the ignition composition such that combustion of the first fire composition ignites the ignition composition.

A whistling spinning grenade has a body defining a body axis and having a sidewall and a hollow interior, the body interior containing a teargas generation component and an ignition component, the body sidewall defining a plurality of passages, each passage communicating from the interior of the body to an exhaust aperture, each exhaust aperture penetrating the body sidewall and defining an exhaust aperture axis, and each exhaust aperture axis being angularly offset from a radius connecting the passage to the body axis, such that it has a tangential directional component with respect to the sidewall, and wherein rotation of the grenade about the body axis is propelled by the expulsion of exhaust gas through the exhaust apertures. The teargas generation component may be proximate the ignition component such that combustion of the ignition component ignites the teargas generation component. The passages and exhaust apertures may be all coplanar.

Whistling spinning grenade

A rubber fragmentation grenade has a body containing an explosive charge, a fuse assembly connected to the body, an elastomeric outer layer at least partly encompassing the body, and the outer layer being scored to provide a plurality of segments. The segments may be rectangular. Each segment may have a thickness, and may have a width greater than the thickness. The thickness may be at least one-third of the width. The body may include a cylindrical portion, and the outer layer may be a cylindrical sleeve encompassing the cylindrical portion. The segments may include a ring of segments. Each ring may include six segments. The explosive charge may be an elongated shape defining a charge axis and having opposed ends, the elastomeric outer layer being a cylindrical form being concentric with the charge. The elastomeric outer layer may extend beyond the ends of the charge.

Rubber fragmentation grenade

A launched smoke grenade has a body having a hollow interior that contains an active grenade material and a bullet trap element formed of an inert material, the body defining a muzzle receptacle bore that is adapted to receive a rifle muzzle, the active grenade material defining a cavity, and the bullet trap element having at least a forward portion received in the cavity. The active grenade material may include a smoke generation component and an ignition component. There may be a bullet suppressing material positioned between the rifle muzzle and the inert material. The bullet suppressing material and the inert material may be made of different materials.

Launched smoke grenade

A launched smoke grenade has a cartridge case having a hollow interior that receives a primer and a propellant, a projectile received by the cartridge case, and the projectile including a smoke generation component and an ignition component. The smoke generation component and the ignition component may be separated by a barrier prior to admission of the ignition component. The ignition component may burn through the barrier to ignite the smoke generation component. The smoke generation component may include hexachloroethane. The propellant may be black powder or smokeless powder.

A grenade includes a body having at least one interior chamber; a fuze assembly attached to the body, that fuze assembly being capable of detonating the grenade and a safety lever movable between a first position to a second position which engages the fuze assembly. A firing pin is engageable with the safety lever to prevent the lever from being moved to the second position. A retaining clip retains the firing pin and prevents premature release of the pin from the grenade wherein the retaining clip is integrated within the safety lever.

A flare apparatus constructed of a flare case with a primer functionally coupled to a propellant charge. Loaded within the flare case is a flare cup, having within, a starter composition, a flare composition, and a flash charge. The flare composition is functionally coupled to the flare starter composition, and the flash charge is functionally coupled to the flare composition. Upon primer activation the propellant charge is ignited. Flame and hot gasses from the propellant charge propel the flare cup out of the flare case and downrange while also igniting the flare starter composition within the flare cup. The flare starter composition ignites the flare composition, which produces a visual artifact and subsequently ignites the flash charge which produces a visual and audible artifact at or near the end of its flight.

An anti-personnel projectile launched from a 37 mm or 40 mm weapon shell required at impact to have a low lethality consequence, in which the projectile is fitted in the shell in a shape characterized by a blunt end in the direction of flight and maintained in this shape by oppositely directed air resistance and propelling forces to obviate a change of shape during flight that might cause a serious injury.

A tear gas grenade having a pressurized CO container oriented with a top in the trajectory direction to a target area and in facing relation to a top-piercing component across a clearance of a tracking compartment therebetween, in the operation of which a fuel-produced gas expands to simultaneously urge the top-piercing component in descending movement puncturing the CO container and also sealing the tracking compartment against venting of the fuel-produced gas and, after a time interval of contraction of the fuel-produced gas, the CO pressure urges the top piercing component in ascending movement unblocking the puncture opening in a container top and also unsealing the tracking compartment, to thereby correlate the expulsive effect of the CO to the time interval of the sealed contraction of the fuel-produced gas contributing to a tear gas consequence adjacent or in the target area.
