A measuring circuit arrangement () for an electricity meter for direct connection is respectively connected, to an input () for voltage measurement and an input () for current measurement of a measuring chip () for each phase of a three phase supply. Upstream of the input () for voltage measurement is a voltage divider (RR) provided in order to match the voltage level, and upstream of the input () for current measurement is a voltage transformer () with measuring shunt (R) installed according to the invention. The voltage transformer () is so arranged that its ohmic resistance towards the measuring shunt (R) on the one hand sufficiently limits standard direct-current impingement of the voltage transformer () and on the other hand this ohmic resistance is also small enough so that, together with the inductance of the current transformer (), it displays no more than standard angle error.

The invention relates to a compensation circuit for the phase shift between a first input () for a voltage determination and a second input () for a current determination in electric meters for direct connection, whereby a DC-tolerant converter (), for current transformation, is arranged before said second input () and a high pass filter (R, C) is arranged before the first input (), for a first equalisation of the non-frequency-dependant phase compensation. A further equalisation of the phase compensation occurs by means of a correction device () in a measuring chip (), which is connected in series with the inputs () for voltage determination and current determination.

In order to obtain a simple construction of an electricity meter ( ), the invention provides that the meter comprises a highly integrated input module ( ) in which an analog-digital converter ( ) and an output module ( ) are integrated. A system for measuring the energy output from one or more electrical energy sources first makes an analog power measurement, and converts the resultant output into digital form. The A/D converter includes a sigma-delta modulator in series with a digital filter. Then, the output from the A/D converter is inputted to a digital quantizer via a serial interface. A programmable calibration value is also inputted into the digital quantizer from a computer via a non-volatile memory, such that the operating level/calibration of the digital quantizer is controllable by the computer.

An arrangement for electrical measurement ascertains 'subordinate' quantities, and is also 'main' quantities with great accuracy and safety against falsification. An active energy to be measured is a main quantity, and a subordinate quantity is at least one of the following quantities: effective value of the voltage (u.sub.N) or of the current (i.sub.N), volt hours, volt square hours, ampere hours, ampere square hours, active power, reactive power, reactive energy, apparent output, apparent energy or power factor. Arrangement for electrical measurement

An arrangement which eliminates or reduces the negative influence of small variations in the charge-carrier concentration of a semiconductor material upon the longterm stability of a magnetic field sensor such as a Hall element is disclosed. In an illustrative embodiment, the arrangement comprises a magnetic field sensor, a voltage/current converter which provides a supply current to the magnetic field sensor, an amplifier connected sequentially downstream of the voltage/frequency converter, and an analog/digital or voltage/frequency converter connected sequentially downstream of the amplifier. The amplifier provides a transmission ratio which is proportional to (1+.delta.n/n) or (1-.delta.n/n) where n is the carge-carrier concentration of the semiconductor material in which the magnetic field sensor is formed and .delta.n is a variation in time of the charge-carrier concentration n. The amplifier comprises an inverting amplifier which is formed using an operational amplifier, a feedback resistor and an input resistor. The amplification factor of the amplifier is proportional to the ratio of the resistance values of the two resistors which are incorporated by diffusion in a semiconductor body near the magnetic field sensor. The charge-carrier concentration in one of the two resistors is preferably identical to the charge-carrier concentration (n) in the magnetic field sensor and the charge-carrier concentration in the other resistor is equal to a multiple of the charge-carrier concentration (n). The factor (1+.delta.n/n) or 1-.delta.n/n) compensates for changes in the output voltage of the magnetic field sensor resulting from the variations in the charge-carrier concentration in the magnetic field sensor.

The present invention relates to a current divider for a measuring transducer. The current divider includes two conductors. The first conductor, which is operable as a shunt, comprises two generally flat legs which extend parallel to one another. Each leg defines one aperture into which the core of the measuring transducer extends. The second conductor is z-shaped having two arms and a bridge extending between the two arms. The arms are electrically connected to one of the legs and the bridge crosses the aperture therein, so that the bridge is surrounded by the core.
