The present invention determines which network devices are likely to have a positive result in engagements with terminal devices. A server can obtain data about network devices with respect to the communication session with a network site. Then the server can use rules to define a set of network devices that are eligible to interact or communicate with a terminal device. The server can connect to the network devices as randomly as possible. Terminal devices can initiate engagements with network devices. The server can detect characteristics in the interaction of engagements that have positive results. The server generates an evaluation protocol based on the characteristics, to assign new network devices a parameter representing how close the new network device conforms to the evaluation protocol. The parameter is used by the system in real-time to inform terminal devices as to which network devices to connect to and in what order.

A decorative device includes a wireless controller and a decoration. The wireless controller includes a memory, an interface, a mesh transceiver, and an electronic processor. The described embodiments relate to systems, methods, and apparatuses for controlling a lighting unit to provide multiple different static and dynamic illumination patterns. The illumination patterns can be provided in response to changes in environmental conditions detected by sensors of the lighting unit. For instance, the lighting unit can provide a flame-like illumination pattern when the sensor is detecting a first threshold amount of motion, and a static illumination pattern when the sensor is detecting a second threshold amount of motion. The flame-like illumination pattern can be expressed using multiple light guides that extend from the lighting unit and receive different colors of light that imitate the motion of a flame. The light guides can be, for example, cylindrical or pipe-shaped, and etched with different patterns to absorb and reflect incident light.

The present invention provides systems and methods for selling goods and services on in conjunction with the Internet. In accordance with the present invention an interactive toy includes a body, a head extending from a front portion of the body and a plurality of feet extending downwardly from the body. A pair of sensors are separately positioned on the left and right sides of the toy, and the sensors activate upon receiving a signal. A microprocessor is in communication with the pair of sensors controls a mechanical movements of the toy upon activation of the sensors. In one embodiment the mechanical movements of the toy include a pair of motors separately driving a gear spur meshed to a wheel.
