Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for generating folder keys and using folder keys to access folder paths. In an embodiment, a computer system may instantiate a graphical user interface (GUI) to display folder and sub-folder contents as well as a folder key. A user may input a folder key as a representation of the displayed sub-folder of the corresponding folder path. The folder key may include one or more symbols that the computer system may store and associate with the folder path. Using the folder key, the computer system may retrieve a particular sub-folder, manage security or permissions related to folders, and/or facilitate navigation between sub-folders. Using a folder key may aid a user in quickly navigating to a particular sub-folder and may allow a computer system to avoid loading unnecessary intermediate sub-folders as a user navigates to a particular desired sub-folder.

Folder key management

A system receives a query and an information space is queried based on the query. Results of the query of the information space are received and each of the results is associated with a respective time period. Each of a plurality of pictograms representing one or more results that are associated with the respective time period is determined. The plurality of pictograms are displayed in a linear progression and in chronological order with respect to one another based on their respective time periods.

Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for comparing aspects of a user interface. In some implementations there is provided a method. The method including receiving data from a first business object and a second business object; generating a single user interface to include a first data field and a second data field, the first and second data fields having the same context; and inserting from the data from the first business object and the second business object into the first and second data fields having the same context to enable comparison of the data. A method for copying content from a first form to a second form may include selecting a plurality of fields in the first form. At least one of the plurality of fields in the first form may include the content to be copied. The method may include determining mapping between the selected fields and corresponding field labels in the first form. The method may include writing the content in the selected fields to corresponding fields in the second form.

Method for copying multiple content between applications

A method and system to generate a user interface for an application, the user interface including a plurality of screen items, and each screen item being rendered based on associated screen item data. An output preview is generated and includes at least one preview item representative of a corresponding one of the plurality of screen items. Each preview item in the output preview is linked to the screen item data associated with the corresponding screen item, and is rendered in the output preview based on the linked screen item data.

A method of providing user input values for input controls includes receiving, in a graphical user interface wherein input controls are associated with predefined alternative input values, a first input identifying user selection of at least some of the input controls. The method includes receiving a second input identifying user selection of at least one of the predefined alternative input values that is associated with each of the selected input controls. The second input is made using one of the selected input controls. The method includes entering the selected predefined alternative input value in each of the selected input controls. The value may be automatically entered upon receiving the second input. A third input, for example made with a context menu, may be required to enter the value in the selected controls.
