A golf club having an elastomer head which is easily constructed of relatively inexpensive components making the club particularly suitable as an introductory golf club for teaching the game of golf to youths, is described. The club comprises a metal insert configured to a desired shape, an elastomeric material molded around the metal insert, and a pad at the back of the striking head. A shaft is attached to the metal insert.

A double-wall, synthetic head for a lacrosse stick having a substantial area of the sidewalls with openings is described. The lacrosse stick head enables optimum speed and handling by a player while retaining the required strength and durability of the lacrosse stick head.

A multi-component, lightweight field hockey stick comprising a plastic head section and a handle fitted into the head section is described. The head section comprises a first flat surface including a flat ball-striking surface and a surface opposite the ball-striking surface so configured to decrease weight and provide increased structural strength. The surface area opposite the ball-striking surface includes an area for receiving a resilient pad. The field hockey stick is particularly useful as a learning or introductory stick for inexperienced players.

Lacrosse stick head

A unitary head for a lacrosse stick comprising a frame and webbing, wherein the webbing integrally molded to the head frame has a first ball receiving continuous curvature and a second continuous curvature in the pocket area of the webbing wherein the second curvature has an angle of curvature greater than the first curvature and wherein the side walls of the frame are separated by at least 2 inches in the area of the pocket and the pocket has a maximum depth of 35/8 inches. The lacrosse stick has improved playing characteristics.

A double-wall synthetic lacrosse stick comprising a generally V-shaped frame adapted to receive a web includes two side walls joined at a juncture and diverging therefrom. A transverse wall joining the ends of the side walls opposite of the juncture and a stop for receiving a lacrosse ball in the head is described. The stop comprises a base and at least one leg integral with and extending from the base removably fitted into an opening in the juncture, with the base fitting substantially flush with the juncture. The invention permits the ready insertion and removal of the stop from the lacrosse head.

A double-wall synthetic lacrosse stick including tab means for attachment or formation of the web on the head of the lacrosse stick is described. The tab means include a slot for snapping a string of the web into place. The slot is constructed and arranged to hold the web securely.

A lacrosse stick is described comprising a head which includes a retainer means having one or more prongs extending longitudinally from the head for attaching the head to a handle and a handle having one or more slots for receiving the retainer means whereby the retainer means connectively engages the slots to attach the head to the handle. Additional embodiments for attaching a head to a handle are also disclosed.

A double-wall, synthetic lacrosse stick including tab means for attachment or formation of the web on the head of the lacrosse stick is described. Preferably the tabs, molded integral with the end and side walls of the head, project inwardly from the extreme upper surface of the walls of the head and are substantially flush with this upper surface. Improved durability and enhanced play characteristics are realized.
