A flexible wiring system is disclosed for use with elevated floor systems and includes a grounding member which can be placed against, and mounted to, a metallic plate which forms a part of the elevated floor. An electrical receptacle is mounted to the grounding member for surface application of the receptacle on the floor. An electrical conduit is connected to the grounding member at one end and to an electrical connector at the other end. The electrical connector is flexibly movable in order to interconnect with other mating electrical connectors to perfect electrical continuity within the electrical system.

Access flooring module for power and signal cables

An access floor module for use with wiring extending beneath the floor of a structure can be used with both high tension and low tension conductors. High tension and low tension outlets can be mounted on the front of a rotatable frame member. Cables are attached to the back and the frame can be inserted into the floor into the plenum beneath the access floor on the same level as the cables and the frame pivotably mounted with respect to the floor. The frame also provides structural support for the module cover.

Access flooring module

An access flooring module, which makes available the power and signal cable to a user, is configured to be easily adaptable and user friendly. The module has a movable dividing wall provided therein, the dividing wall being positioned between the power and the signal transmissions to insure the reliability thereof. A pivot arm is provided which allows the module to move between a first position and a second position. A deformable member is positioned on the module, such that as the module is moved between the first and the second positions, the deformable member controls the movement of the module. A latch member is provided on the module, the latch member being moveable between an open position and a closed position. The latch member is provided to secure the access flooring module in the first position, and to provide an opening through which electrical cords can pass.

Retractable access flooring module

An electrical terminal includes a barrel terminal having an L-shaped slot which includes a vertical portion which extends to the upper edge of the terminal, the vertical portion being in transition with a horizontal portion extending partially around the terminal. A cap which is profiled for receipt over the terminal includes an opening which is disposed diagonally through the cap relative the length of the cap. The cap also includes a window which exposes the opening from the end face of the cap for viewing the location of the opening and for viewing the insertion of the wire into the opening. Upon insertion of the wire into the cap, placing the wire in the opening and placing a tool over the cap which pushes the wire into the vertical slot, rotation of the cap and tool moves the wire into the horizontal portion of the L-shaped slot and terminates the end of the wire in a wire receiving slot. Strain relief members are disposed above the opening in the face of the cap and comprises downwardly directed fingers which capture the wire upon termination of the wire.
