A mobile payment system includes a web browsing capable device in communication with a world wide web to make purchases online at an online store. A mobile payment device having securely stored payment information is connectable to the web browsing capable device through a server to provide payment for the online purchase. The mobile payment device is associated with the web browsing capable device by a mobile identity. The online store is connectable to a payment network to exchange payment messages upon receiving an authorization request from the mobile device through the web browsing capable device.

Online mobile payment system and method using a server between the personal comuter and the mobile payment device

A mobile payment method includes making a mobile payment request an automated response system of a merchant store for a purchase. A mobile number of a mobile device is provided to the automated response system. Payment information including the mobile number and a payment amount is sent from the automated response system to the mobile payment server. A Uniform Resource Locator (URL) link is created by the mobile payment server and contains transaction information. The URL link is sent to the mobile device where a customer selects the URL link to set up a Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) session. A program script is downloaded. A payment transaction is confirmed by the mobile device which generates and sends encrypted payment data to a payment network through the mobile payment server.

Telephone call purchase with payment using mobile payment device

A mobile payment method includes the steps of providing a mobile payment device having mobile payment capability and a mobile identity. Providing transaction information for a transaction and sending the transaction information to a server. The server prepares a URL link containing the transaction information and sends the URL link to the mobile payment device using the mobile identity. Clicking on the URL link sets up a HTTPS session and program script and validation token are downloaded to the mobile device. The payment can then proceed.

Mobile payment system and method using a mobile payment device without an installed application

A mobile payment system including a merchant, a mobile device having mobile payment capability, a server couplable to a payment network, and a merchant computing device couplable to the server. A purchase request is made of the merchant and a purchase identification is associated with the purchase. Mobile payment communication is established between the mobile device and the server using the purchase identification and a mobile payment for the purchase is made from the mobile device to a payment network through the server.

The web browsing capable device connects to a server and a payment request including a VID is sent to the server. The server verifies the VID. A mobile payment device is connected to the server. A token request is sent to the mobile device upon verification of the VID. A token response is sent to the server. Information is archived to a database and a cookie associated with the VID is created. The cookie with associated VID is archived. A payment response is sent to the web browsing capable device. An authorization request is sent to the online store, and the online store authorizes the transaction with a payment network.

Embodiments enable HTTP servers to pass incomplete and/or corrupted files in response to file requests from clients. The method may include modifying handoff priorities of the first set of carriers and the second set of carriers based on membership of each carrier in a common set of carriers comprising the first and second sets of carriers and further based on a priority order specified by the wireless communication network. The method may include determining whether to hand over to at least one carrier in one of the first and second sets of carriers based on a handoff decision that takes into account the modified handoff priorities.

Network driven cell reselection method for UEs playing eMBMS content in unicast idle mode

A method for cell reselection by a wireless communication device is described. The method includes camping on a serving cell in idle mode. A neighbor cell is detected. A serving cell rank is computed for the serving cell. A neighbor cell rank is computed for the neighbor cell based on multimedia broadcast multicast service metrics. Cell reselection is determined based on the serving cell rank and the neighbor cell rank.

Cell reselection based on multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) metrics

A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus receives an MBMS service from a first cell in a first MBSFN area while in an RRC idle mode. The apparatus reselects to a second cell through an intra-frequency cell reselection upon moving into coverage of the second cell. The second cell is a non-MBSFN cell or an MBSFN cell in a second MBSFN area different than the first MBSFN area. The apparatus continues to receive the MBMS service directly from the first cell while receiving paging signals from the second cell.

Extending eMBMS session in LTE eMBMS

Techniques are provided for reducing delay during streaming transmissions. For example, a method may include receiving a stream of data segments. The method may include establishing a first group of segments based on the data segments, and generating a first table of information. The method may include transmitting the first table and the first group of segments, and establishing a second group of segments based on the data segments, the second group of segments including a partial overlap of data segments included in the first group of segments. The method may include generating a second table of information, and transmitting the second table and a collection of segments that includes data segments from the second group that were not part of the first group.

Controlling streaming delay in networks

A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus receives a user service description (USD) message. When a frequency indicated in the USD message is not a current frequency, the apparatus determines that a system information message is received, determines that the frequency indicated in the USD message is included in the system information message, determines that the frequency is a neighboring cell frequency, sets a priority of the frequency to a highest priority, and measures a signal strength of the frequency when the frequency is included in the system information message, performs a cell reselection determination procedure based on the signal strength of the frequency, performs cell reselection to the neighboring cell based on a result of the cell reselection determination procedure, and acquires the multicast service in the neighboring cell on the frequency.

EMBMS service activation and maintenance procedure in multi-frequency networks

A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided for prioritizing the performance of measurements during measurement gaps and the reception of multicast/broadcast content. The apparatus receives a configuration from a serving cell to perform a measurement during a measurement gap of a unicast service while in a connected mode. In addition, the apparatus determines whether to refrain from leaving the serving cell on a first frequency and performing the measurement on a second frequency of a neighboring cell in order to receive multicast/broadcast content associated with a multicast/broadcast service during the measurement gap.
