A security device can be provided to selectively restrict or prevent the opening of a sliding door, sliding window, or other sliding panel or other closure. For example, the security device can include a base plate that selectively engages a barricade member (or lock rail). While the barricade member is engaged with the base plate (in a locked state), the barricade member and base plate cooperate to restrict or prevent the sliding door, window, panel or other closure from moving to an open position (or moving out of a closed position). The barricade member can be moved relative to the base plate (to an unlocked state) to allow unrestricted movement of the sliding door, window, panel or other closure. The security device can include stop members that may restrict or prevent complete removal of the barricade member from the base plate.

A door security apparatus includes a storage container including a slot, a door-locking member and a sensor assembly. The door-locking member is removably disposed within the slot of the storage container. The sensor assembly is associated with the door-locking member. The sensor assembly is configured to detect removal of the door-locking member from the slot of the storage container.

A window cover may include a cover body, a mounting feature, a first roll-up-securing feature, a second roll-up-securing feature, a pull-strap, and a weight. The cover body can be moved between a rolled-up position and a deployed position. The mounting feature may be secured to a first side of the cover body and can attach the cover body above a window. The first roll-up-securing feature is secured to a second side of the cover body. The second roll-up-securing feature is secured to the first side of the cover body and is configured to engage the first roll-up-securing feature to retain the cover body in the rolled-up position. The pull-strap may be attached to the first side of the cover body and is accessible when the cover body is in the rolled-up position.

A door security device can include a door member mounted to a swinging door, and a connector. The door member can include a slot having openings in at least one end and in an outer face. An end of a first leg of the connector can have a shape configured to mate with the first slot to permit the first leg to slide into the first slot such that the first leg extends out of the first slot through an opening in the outer face of the door member and such that a distal end of the second leg interferes with a surface of a door frame to prevent rotation of the swinging door relative to the door frame.

Door security device

A device can include a door member mounted to a swinging door, a connector, and a fastener. The door member can include a slot open at the top and bottom and an outer face. A bore through the door member can align with a bottom of the slot. A first end of the connector can slide into the top of the slot so a first leg extends through the outer face and a second leg overlaps the soffit. When a fastener is in a first position, the fastener can extend through a bore in the door member and support the connector in the slot and block the connector from exiting the slot through the bottom. When the fastener is in a second position, the fastener does not block the slot and the connector is permitted to drop out of the slot through the bottom.

A device for restricting movement of a door includes a door member, a floor member, and a connecting member. The door member is fixedly mounted to a door and includes a first opening having a first predetermined shape. The floor member is fixedly mounted to a floor and includes a second opening having a second predetermined shape. The connecting member includes a first leg and a second leg. The first leg extends in a first direction and has a first end removeably engaging the first opening. The second leg extends in a second direction that is perpendicular to the first direction and has a second end removeably engaging the second opening simultaneously when the first end removeably engages the first opening thereby preventing rotation of the door.

A multi-stage intercooled compressor for a gas turbine engine, including multiple stages of rotating blades and cooling stator vanes, a cooling stator vane including an outer wall that defines an internal coolant fluid passage and has a length along a centerline from a leading edge to a trailing edge of the outer wall, and an internal flow divider wall disposed within the internal passage and extending along the centerline to divide the internal coolant fluid passage into an inflow pathway and an outflow pathway.

A radial, two-stroke uniflow internal combustion (IC) cylinder and multiple cylinder engine, the cylinder having a cylinder wall and a cylinder head, the cylinder head having an exhaust port, a fuel injector, and a spark means disposed through the cylinder head, a piston reciprocally mounted in the cylinder for movement alternately through compression and power strokes, and an inlet swirl port disposed through the cylinder wall providing fluid communication into the cylinder chamber, and having an annular exhaust air manifold in exhaust gas communication with each exhaust ports, and an exhaust-driven radial in-flow turbine that drives the inlet air compression.

Two-stroke uniflow turbo-compound internal combustion engine

A two-stroke, uniflow, full expansion internal combustion (IC) engine including a plurality of cylinders, including a cylinder wall and a cylinder head having an exhaust port, an exhaust valve disposed in the exhaust port, a fuel injector and a spark means disposed through the cylinder head, a piston mounted in the cylinder for reciprocal movement between a top dead center (TDC) position and a bottom dead center (BDC) position, and through a compression stroke and a power stroke, and a swirl inlet port passing through the cylinder wall at the bottom of the cylinder, wherein the swirl inlet port is covered and uncovered in response to the reciprocal movement of the piston. The exhaust port is held in an open position for a portion of the compression stroke movement of the piston, to provide a delay in the onset of the compression phase of the cylinder cycle.

Full expansion internal combustion engine

A cylinder for an internal combustion engine having co-annular dual pistons. The cylinder has a main cylinder having a main cylinder wall and a cylinder head, a first or outer piston having an annular crown, an inner cylinder wall that defines an inner cylinder, and an annular outer sidewall extending from the periphery of the crown, an inner piston having a crown, and an annular inner sidewall extending from the periphery of the crown. A solenoid-actuated pin selectively secures the outer piston with the main cylinder during a portion of each cylinder cycle. The inner piston reciprocates within the inner cylinder during both the air inlet and compression strokes, while the outer piston reciprocates within the main cylinder only during the power stroke and the exhaust stroke, to increase the piston crown surface area exposed to the combustion gases to maximize the power and efficiency.

Full expansion internal combustion engine with co-annular pistons

A security device for a sliding door or sliding window assembly comprising a base plate and a removably interlocking stop member. The base plate is securely fastened to the floor or window sill, respectively, in close proximity and along the path of movement of a sliding door or sliding window, by means of a plurality of openings for receiving screws. The stop member, while engagingly disposed in the interlocked, in use position, prevents the sliding door or sliding window from opening at all or past a predetermined point. The base plate and stop member are each formed having an interlocking means element, adapted to receive, matingly, the others interlocking means element. The stop member features a blocking element, which projects into the path of the sliding door or sliding window, while in the in use position. Removing the stop member allows normal movement of the sliding door or sliding window.

A two-stroke, uniflow, full expansion internal combustion (IC) engine having cylinders that include a cylinder wall and a cylinder head having an exhaust port with exhaust valve, a fuel injector, and a spark means in the cylinder head, and a piston mounted in the cylinder for reciprocal stroke movements of compression and power between a top dead center (TDC) position and a bottom dead center (BDC) position. The cylinder has a swirl inlet port passing through the cylinder wall at the bottom of the cylinder that is covered and uncovered in response to the reciprocal movement of the piston. The cylinder is operated through a cycle where the exhaust port is held in an open position for a portion of the compression stroke movement of the piston, to provide a delay in the onset of the compression phase of the cylinder cycle.
