An improved stimulus coil for use in wireless stimulation of biological tissue (e.g., nerves, muscle tissue, etc.) and, in one exemplary implementation, to glaucoma therapy based on the wireless administration of energy to the eye of a mammalian subject (e.g., human, rodent, etc.) to reduce an elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) involving the use of an improved stimulus coil. The improved stimulus coil may be implanted in the eye of a mammalian subject or positioned on the exterior of the eye, such as (by way of example) by being disposed within a contact lens worn by a mammalian subject.

Systems and methods for wireless stimulation of biological tissue (e.g. nerves, muscle tissue, etc.) and, in one exemplary implementation, to therapy for glaucoma based on the wireless administration of energy to the eye of a mammalian subject (e.g. human, rodent, etc.) to reduce an elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) involving the use of a multi-coil wireless power transfer assembly. Systems and techniques for wireless implantable devices, for example implantable biomedical devices employed for biomodulation. Some embodiments include a biomodulation system including a non-implantable assembly including a source for wireless power transfer and a data communications system, an implantable assembly including a power management module configured to continuously generate one or more operating voltage for the implantable assembly using wireless power transfer from the non-implantable assembly, a control module operably connected to at least one communication channel and at least one stimulation output, the control module including a processor unit to process information sensed via the at least one communication channel and, upon determining a condition exists, to generate an output to trigger the generation of a stimulus.

System for wireless recording and stimulating bioelectric events

Systems and methods for wireless glaucoma therapy involving the administration of energy to an eye of a mammalian subject in a therapeutically effective amount sufficient to (1) decrease the inflow of aqueous humor into the anterior segment of the eye and/or (2) increase the outflow of aqueous humor from the anterior segment of the eye. Systems and methods involve the use of wireless power transfer (WPT) and optional stimulus coils adapted to be positioned on and/or within the eye. A Frensel lens is also disclosed for vision correction, which may be used alone or in combination with the system for wireless glaucoma therapy.

Wireless glaucoma therapy

A self-contained fluid jet assembly that includes a first chamber having a fluid inlet and a second chamber having an air inlet and at least one fluid outlet. An opening is present between the first chamber and said second chamber and is surrounded by a nozzle in the second chamber. The nozzle terminates short of a fluid outlet such that an air gap is defined between the nozzle and outlet, thereby creating an improved jet action.

A water jet assembly for in-ground pools or spas that includes a first chamber with a water inlet and a second chamber with an air inlet and a plurality of water outlets. Water and air flow from the respective inlets to the water outlet such that a water-jet effect is achieved.

Dual-chamber water jet assembly for in-ground pools or spas

An array of water jets that does not utilize hoses between the water supply inlet and each individual jet and provides a multiple-jet experience for in-ground spa users. The array of jets include a water-containing structure having at least a front and back panel that define an interior cavity into which water flows and becomes pressurized. The front panel has a plurality of water outlets disposed thereon while, preferably, the back panel has a water or a water and air inlets. Accordingly, water (and air) flow hoselessly from the inlet(s) to the plurality of water outlets such that a water-jet effect is achieved.

A system is presented for enhancing sonar signals wherein Doppler echoes eived in the time domain from a sonar system are processed by digitizing, shifting to baseband, Fourier transforming to the frequency domain, applying a frequency stretching algorithm designed to expand low Doppler signals, retransforming the signal back to the time domain, reshifting from baseband to original center frequency, converting to analog and outputting the resultant enhanced Doppler time domain signals to either earphones of a sonar operator for audio monitoring or for further processing for visual display.

Aural enhancement of active sonar systems

A detachable hose assembly for easily connecting a hose to a faucet without using a screwing motion. The detachable hose assembly is comprised of a hose member and a faucet member. The hose member is configured to be attached to a hose and has a front face and a central shaft for communication of water to the hose. The faucet member is configured to be attached to a faucet and has a front face and a central shaft for communication of water to the central shaft of the hose member. The hose member and faucet member are configured to be slidably coupled together in a first orientation to form a single central shaft so that the front faces of the hose member and the faucet member are positioned adjacent each other and the outer surfaces of the members are flush. A raised surface and a seal are positioned about the shaft so that when the hose and faucet members are coupled, the raised surface exerts a force against the seal in a direction parallel to the central shaft so that leakage is reduced. The front faces of the hose member and the faucet member are configured so that when the hose member and the faucet member are coupled together, a cavity will be formed between the front faces of the hose member and faucet member so that debris will be urged into the cavity when the members are engaged.

A loading device uses a hitch to support a boat trailer and boat in an elevated position on the rear of a camper. A first member attaches to the aft end of the boat trailer, a second member attaches to the rear of the camper, and latches on the first member engage dogs on the second member to pivotably couple the members together. A winch line is attached at one end to the fore end of the boat trailer and at an opposing end to a winch mounted on the camper. The winch can thus raise the fore end of the boat trailer and thereby rotate the boat trailer about a pivot point through the dogs from a pre-loading horizontal position on the ground to an elevated position supported on the rear of the camper. The loading device is thus mechanically simple because it only needs a hitch, a winch, and a winch line. It is also power efficient because it only pivots the boat trailer, rather than lifting it and then moving it laterally.

Device and method for loading a boat trailer and boat onto a vehicle

An apparatus and method for accurately determining the relative locations of sensors in a passive sonar or like monitoring system utilizes two non-parallel (but not necessarily orthogonal) calibrator signals to calculate the relative positions of sensors in a sensor array. Iteration, using a deformed line array constraint, permits reliable solution of the sensor position equations, even when the relative angle between the calibrator signals is initially unknown.
