An example apparatus is for contacting a device to change a temperature of the device. The apparatus includes a plate configured to contact the device and a channel within the plate configured to enable flow of fluid between an input port and an output port. The plate includes a thermally conductive material to conduct heat between the device and the fluid. The channel includes multiple islands arranged in series. An island among the multiple islands is arranged to receive the fluid at a first side. The island is for splitting the fluid into a first flow and a second flow and for causing the first flow and the second flow to merge at a second side of the island that is downstream of the first side of the island.

A system includes electronics for testing a device, a reservoir to store coolant, where the reservoir includes a bellows that is compressible, a pump system to move coolant out of the reservoir to cool the electronics, and means to compress the bellows and thereby pressurize the coolant stored in the reservoir so that the coolant remains substantially flush with an interface to the pump system.

An adapter frame is configured to receive a non-native test instrument module and is further configured for coupling within a test head of automatic semiconductor device test equipment. The adapter frame includes interfaces for operatively connecting the test instrument module to the test head using the existing slots of the test head. Interfaces may include mechanical interfaces, such as liquid cooling interfaces and other suitable interfaces. Additional software and/or hardware components may be included on the adapter frame to integrate the non-native test instrument module into the existing test equipment.

Method and apparatus for cooling non-native instrument in automatic test equipment

Required blower power in an induced draft combustion system is reduced by recovering pressure from dynamic energy of flow of combustion products. To this end, the outlet duct is diverged gradually, such as an included angle of less than fifteen degrees, and preferably at an angle of substantially seven degrees. Divergence of the outlet duct may be expressed in polar coordinates having a polar axis, overlapping radius vectors and a variable polar angle of such overlapping radius vectors relative to the polar axis. A difference between such overlapping radius vectors is increased in a direction of flow of the combustion products and the outlet duct is structured with cross-sections increasing incrementally in terms of the increasing difference between the overlapping radius vectors. Condensate may be drained from a combustion product by providing the duct with a lateral offset having a bottom extending at an angle to the earth's field of gravity. Condensate may be collected at that bottom, and the condensate may be drained from that bottom.
