An improved skin cream composition according to the present invention provides protection against lumpiness, edema, and other effects of liposuction and cosmetic surgery, as well as increasing the smoothness of the skin. In general, a skin cream composition according to the present invention comprises: water, and emulsified and dispersed in the water: (1) a long-chain fatty acid ester of ascorbic acid; (2) a short-chain carboxylic acid ester of tocopherol; (3) a glyceryl ester complex comprising at least one glyceryl ester selected from the group consisting of glyceryl linoleate, glyceryl linolenate, and glyceryl arachidonate; (4) a first complex consisting essentially of water, propylene glycol, lecithin, caffeine benzoate, and palmitoyl carnitine; (5) a second complex consisting essentially of water, caffeine, carnitine, and hydrolyzed glycosaminoglycans; (6) a third complex consisting essentially of glycerol, butcher broom extract, passion flower extract, glycogen, hydrolyzed collagen, and PEG 6-32; (7) calendula extract; (8) a water-glycol extract of chamomile; (9) hydrophilic microcapsules; (10) lipophilic microcapsules; and (11) microcapsules comprising methylsilanol elastinate. Other, optional cosmetic ingredients and ancillary ingredients can also be used.

Skin cream composition

A skin cream composition according to the present invention provides significant retexturization of the skin, producing significantly improved smoothness, as well as significantly minimizing age spots and improving color of the skin, together with increasing the firmness and moisture content of the skin. The composition also reduces the extent of sebum and/or oil on the skin. The composition can comprise: water, and emulsified and dispersed in the water: (1) sodium lactate; (2) a long-chain fatty acid ester of ascorbic acid; (3) a short-chain carboxylic acid ester of tocopherol; (4) witch hazel; and (5) horsetail extract. The sodium lactate, the ascorbic acid ester, the tocopherol ester, the witch hazel, and the horsetail extract are each present in a quantity sufficient to increase the smoothness and/or firmness and to diminish the oiliness of skin to which the composition is applied. The composition can also contain an active metabolite complex of polysaccharides and peptides extracted from a bacterial culture medium as an additional, optional, cosmetic component. The composition can also comprise additional, ancillary, components.

A mascara composition comprises: water, and emulsified and dispersed in the water, a protein component, a vegetable wax component, and a vitamin component. The protein component, the vegetable wax component, and the vitamin component are each present in cosmetically effective quantities. The protein component can be protein derived from silk powder and keratin, the vegetable wax component can be rose wax and jasmine wax, and the vitamin component can be ascorbyl palmitate, tocopheryl acetate, and panthenol. The composition can further comprise an antioxidant component, a preservative component, an emulsifier component, a solvent component, a thickener component, a hydrophobic/waxy component, and at least one colorant. The mascara composition of the present invention is effective in significantly lengthening and thickening the eyelashes of the wearer and is significantly long lasting, water resistant, and safe for wearers. It further improves significantly the condition of lashes, making them softer, smoother, and more pliable. The formula is also soothing, calming, and anti-irritant.

Mascara composition

A cosmetic composition according to the present invention incorporates a new combination of ingredients particularly designed to provide significant protection of the skin from several damaging components of environmental pollution, while also providing significant protection against moisture loss and damage due to free radical activity and ultraviolet light, both UV-A and UV-B, and controlling oil. In general, a cosmetic composition according to the present invention comprises: water, and emulsified and dispersed in the water: (1) an anti-pollution complex comprising propylene glycol, hydrolyzed wheat protein, mannitol, glycogen, yeast extract, ginseng extract, linden extract, calcium pantothenate, horse chestnut extract, and biotin; (2) a micellar complex comprising: phospholipids, glycosphingolipids, panthenol, Crataegus extract, cholesterol, and sodium hyaluronate; (3) an anti-free radical complex comprising melanin, a short-chain fatty acid ester of tocopherol, a long-chain fatty acid ester of retinol, and a long-chain fatty acid ester of ascorbic acid; and (4) a sunscreen. Other cosmetic components, such as aloe extract, matricaria extract, apricot kernel extract, garden balsam leaf extract, hydrolyzed soy protein, and horsetail extract, and ancillary components can also be used.

Anti-pollution cosmetic composition

A mascara composition comprises: water, and emulsified and dispersed in the water, a protein component, a vegetable wax component, and a vitamin component. The protein component, the vegetable wax component, and the vitamin component are each present in cosmetically effective quantities. The protein component can be silk powder and keratin, the vegetable wax component can be rose wax and jasmine wax, and the vitamin component can be ascorbyl palmitate, tocopheryl acetate, and panthenol. The composition can further comprise an antioxidant component, a preservative component, an emulsifier component, a solvent component, a thickener component, a hydrophobic/waxy component, and at least one colorant. The sodium lactate, the micellar complex, the protein complex, the carbohydrate-based complex, the retinol ester, the ascorbic acid ester, and the tocopherol ester are each present in a quantity sufficient to significantly increase the smoothness and/or firmness of skin to which the composition is applied, as well as significantly minimizing age spots and improving color. The composition can optionally contain other cosmetic components, such as (1) a complex of cyclomethicone and dimethiconol; (2) an aqueous solution of sodium hyaluronate; (3) glycosaminoglycans; and (4) a lipid complex comprising phospholipids, sphingolipids, and octyldodecanol, as well as ancillary components.

A powder-based lip liner cosmetic composition comprises: (1) a talc component; (2) a mica component; (3) a low luster pigment; (4) a substantially hydrophobic polymer; (5) an at least partially hydrophilic polymer; and (6) an emulsifier component. Preferably, the talc component includes talc coated with an aluminum salt of a long-chain fatty acid. Preferably, the mica component includes mica coated with an aluminum salt of a long-chain fatty acid. Preferably, the low luster pigment includes mica, titanium dioxide, and barium sulfate. Preferably, the cosmetic composition further comprises a skin-tone-dependent pigment, as well as ancillary components. The lip liner cosmetic composition of the present invention provides a long lasting lip line resistant to contact with surfaces and eliminates the problem of 'bleeding' or 'feathering' of lipstick into the lip liner. This is achieved by the insolubility of lipstick in the lip liner because of the low wax and oil content of the lip liner of the present invention. The lip liner of the present invention is preferably applied by the use of a water-wetted brush, unlike any other lip liners previously available.

Powder-based lip liner cosmetic composition

A skin cream composition of the present invention comprises: water, and emulsified and dispersed in the water: (1) a protein complex comprising serum proteins and hydrolyzed animal proteins; (2) a protein-amino acid-vitamin-nucleotide complex comprising proplylene glycol, serum proteins, niacinamide, water, adenosine phosphate, and arginine; and (3) dimethylsilanoyl hyaluronate complex, and the dimethylsilanoyl hyaluronate are each present in cosmetically effective quantities. Preferably, the skin cream composition further comprises a highly stable micellar complex.

A cosmetic composition according to the present invention comprises: water, and emulsified and dispersed in the water: (1) a moisturizing component comprising: (a) hydrophilic microcapsules and (b) lipophilic microcapsules comprising: glycosphingolipids, phospholipids, cholesterol, at least one long-chain saturated fatty acid selected from the group consisting of myristic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, and arachidic acid, squalane, a C.sub.10 -C.sub.30 carboxylic acid ester of a sterol selected from the group consisting of cholesterol, lanosterol, and mixtures thereof, and octyldodecanol; (2) a short-chain fatty acid ester of tocopherol; (3) a glyceryl ester complex; (4) Aloe vera gel; and (5) chamomile extract. Each of these ingredients is present in a cosmetically effective quantity. The proportion of hydrophilic microcapsules to lipophilic microcapsules in the moisturizing component is from about 2:3 to about 3:2. The composition preferably further comprises microcapsules comprising methylsilanol elastinate for firming activity, and can additionally comprise caffeine plus microcapsules comprising methylsilanol theophyllinacetate alginate and methylsilanol mannuronate for anti-cellulite activity, along with a number of plant extracts and plant extract-miscible components. A cosmetic composition according to the present invention can further comprise ancillary components.

Cosmetic composition

An emulsified composition for treatment of the skin under the eye comprises means for reducing puffiness of the skin under the eyes and for reducing sensations of irritation and inflammation of the skin under the eyes. There is means for enhancing firmness and elasticity of the skin under the eyes and for reducing dark circles, and means for retarding the effects of free radical activity under the eyes. A preservative, thickener, antioxidant, emulsifier and solvent can be part of the composition.

An emulsified cosmetic composition for treatment of the skin's complexion comprises (a) an anti-aging agent retarding the effects of natural aging on the skin's complexion, including deterioration of the structure and complexion of the skin from free radical activity, (b) a sunscreen retarding the effects on the complexion of the skin from aging of the skin due to sunlight, (c) a preservative, (d) a thickener, (e) an anti-oxidant, and (f) an emulsifier.
