A shaft guard is provided comprising a first guard portion, a second guard portion, and a pair of support legs. The first guard portion defines a first guard body, a first pair of guard portions, and a first pair of flange portions. The first guard body is arranged about a longitudinal shaft guard axis. The first pair of guard portion openings are positioned at opposite ends of the longitudinal shaft guard axis. The first pair of flange portions are arranged on opposite sides of the longitudinal shaft guard axis. Similarly, the second guard portion defines a second guard body, a second pair of guard portions, and a second pair of flange portions. The second guard body is arranged about the longitudinal shaft guard axis. The second pair of guard portion openings are positioned at opposite ends of the longitudinal shaft guard axis. The second pair of flange portions are arranged on opposite sides of the longitudinal shaft guard axis. Respective ones of the first pair of flange portions are secured to opposing ones of the second pair of flange portions to form respective mated flange pairs such that the respective ones of the first pair of guard portion openings complement opposing ones of the second pair of guard portion openings to form a pair of shaft guard openings positioned at opposite ends of the longitudinal shaft guard axis. The pair of support legs are secured to at least one of the first and second guard portions.

Pump assembly shaft guard

A pump guard comprising a transparent, flexible, and resilient material including a shielding portion adapted to define a seal chamber in the proximity of a seal of a pump and a pump engaging portion substantially conforming to the shape of a guard engaging portion of said pump. The shielding portion deflects any fluid spraying or leaking from the seal. The pump guard 2 is of unitary construction, requires no mounting hardware, and is easily installable about the seal 16 to define a seal chamber.

Seal chamber splash guard

The invention relates to a new and improved tire lift/carrier featuring a reel assembly comprised of a rotatable spool formed of thin metal plates abutted one to the other in a side by side relation, a portion of which plates defines a cavity in which one end of a line is held captive, the other end of which line is adapted to extend to releasably connect to a load which places a tension on this line in use. In the preferred embodiment described the spool has a single track within which the single line in connection with the spool is constrained to wrap directly on itself. The connection of the line to the spool is such that the spool may be rotated in either of opposite directions and in either case the line will wrap smoothly on itself. In the preferred embodiment illustrated the spool has a press fit gear through the medium of which it is driven in either of its opposite directions of rotation. This press fit gear is illustrated as driven by an orbiting gear under the influence of the shaft about which the spool rotates. In a particularly preferred embodiment the drive mechanism for the spool includes a simple torque limiting device serving as a protective medium for the reel assembly in use.
