A system includes control circuitry configured to manage faults of an electrical system. The system is configured to monitor consumption for a plurality of electrical circuits, such as branch circuits, and generate device information about a device based on an electrical current measurement from at least one electrical circuit of the plurality of electrical circuits to which the device is coupled. The system is also configured to determining that an event has occurred based on the device information and interrupt current of the at least one electrical circuit, generate a notification, communicate a control signal to the device in response to the event occurring to mitigate the event, actuate a second device in response to the event, or a combination thereof.

Integrated home energy management, home monitoring, and automated fault mitigation

A system includes control circuitry for identifying, during operation in a first operating mode wherein electrical power is limited by protection devices, an indicator to enter a second operating mode. The indicator corresponds to power consumption of the electrical system exceeding a power capacity of the electrical system, nearing, achieving, or exceeding a limit. In response to the indicator, the system operates in the second operating mode by retrieving reference information comprising load preferences and limits, and managing one or more loads, sources, or both to modify power consumption, power capacity, or both based on the indicator and based on the reference information. The system communicates with loads or sources, and manages branch circuit using controllable elements to prevent power consumption from exceeding power capacity. The system modifies setpoints, turns devices on or off, schedules device operation or otherwise manages the electrical system based on predetermined preferences.

Multilayer control for managing power flow

The system includes a plurality of branch circuits including a plurality of branch relays, the plurality of branch relays coupled to at least one busbar and configured to be coupled to a plurality of circuit breakers, a deadfront arranged in front of the plurality of branch relays, and a neutral busbar arranged in front of the deadfront and coupled to the plurality of circuit breakers through openings in the deadfront. The deadfront may be an installer deadfront.

Integrated electrical panel

The system includes one or more busbars couple to an AC line, branch relays each coupled to a busbar and to a respective circuit breaker, and current sensors each corresponding to at least one respective branch relay of the plurality of branch relays. The system also includes a deadfront arranged in front of the plurality of branch relays, and including openings corresponding to the branch relays allowing an electrical terminal of each branch relay to protrude forward through a respective opening. A circuit breaker is engaged with each respective branch relay, on the deadfront to create an array of branch circuit breakers. The combination of relay and circuit breaker allows each branch circuit to be controllable. The relays may include current sensors, such as a shunt, used to determine a branch circuit current and control the relay. Control circuitry manages the relay on-off operation and monitors branch circuit operation.

A system for managing electrical loads includes a plurality of branch circuits, a sensor system, and control circuitry. The sensor system is configured to measure one or more electrical parameters corresponding to the plurality of branch circuits, and transmit one or more signals to the control circuitry. The control circuitry is configured to determine respective electrical load information in each branch circuit based on the sensor system, and control the electrical load in each branch circuit using controllable elements based on the respective electrical load information. The control circuitry transmits usage information, generates displays indicative of usage information, accesses stored or referencing information to forecast electrical load, and manages electrical load in response to identified events. The control circuitry can associate each branch circuit with reference load information, and disaggregate loads on each branch circuit based on the reference load information and on the electrical load in the branch circuit.
