A system for detecting explosive materials. The system includes radiated high power electromagnetic radiation at one or more frequencies in the millimeter wave spectrum or above to interact with a sample and be reflected therefrom. The system also includes at least one electromagnetic sensor to measure emissions at harmonic frequencies and characteristics unique to one or more explosive materials. The system also includes a processor to collate and maintain a lookup table to identify specific explosive material types.

Methods and apparatus to transmit a range of frequencies targeting a vehicle, monitoring performance of an engine of the vehicle, determining a first frequency in the range of frequencies that disrupts operation of the engine, and dwelling on the first frequency to disrupt the engine, reducing power and continuing to dwell at the first frequency to maintain disruption of the engine.

Methods and apparatus to disrupt the engine of a vehicle

An electronic circuit combines two or more individual wideband RF receivers or transceiver band circuits to produce a usable instantaneous bandwidth that is wider than the bandwidth of the individual band circuits. The electronic circuit overcomes the difficulties of combining bands to provide low signal distortion across the band edges and throughout the combined instantaneous bandwidth of the two or more individual band circuits. This electronic circuit utilizes an amplitude, time delay, and phase adjustment procedure that uses associated adjustable circuitry to eliminate misalignments between the two or more individual band circuits.

The system includes a receiver for wirelessly receiving an emitted signal from the internal combustion engine, the emitted signal corresponding to an operational parameter of the internal combustion engine, a signal generator for generating an interruption signal in accordance with the emitted signal, and a transmitter for transmitting the interruption signal to disrupt an operation of the internal combustion engine.
