A washable non-toxic body paint material is formed using two different weight polyethylene glycol waxes together with stearic acid, calcium carbonate, talc, titanium dioxide, guar gum, a preservative and a colorant. The material is formed by initially mixing dry granular form ingredients at room temperature. Once mixed, the material is subjected to a melt at approximately one hundred fifty degrees centigrade to form a paste which is poured within a mold to cool forming a dry cake. A moistened applicator activates the dry cake for use in body painting or other activities.

A moldable composition and method of making the same, the composition including a binding mixture and filler in the form of crystalline, irregular, approximately polygonally shaped particles. The binding mixture preferably includes polyvinyl-based binders such as polyvinyl alcohol, water, a cross-linking agent such as borax, and a humectant such as propylene glycol. Furthermore, a cellulose-based thickener may be added to the binding mixture, as may a pH-adjusting compound such as sodium carbonate. The crystalline particles preferably are ground styrene having a maximum dimension ranging from one-half to three millimeters.

A malleable play material binder is combined with a substantially greater quantity of sand to form a granular malleable amorphous play material having an unusual tactile characteristic. The play material binder may comprise a conventional play material. In the preferred embodiment, the play material binder is formed by mixing a soluble cellulose, a polyvinyl alcohol, propylene glycol, water, sodium tetraborate, sodium carbonate and a light mineral oil.

A thermally and electrically conductive caulk having a resin is mixed with a filler mixture which includes 80% by weight large thermally and electrically conductive particles having a particle size within a range of about 300-325 microns, 10% by weight fine thermally and electrically conductive particles having a particle size within a range of about 75-80 microns, and 10% by weight thermally and electrically conductive fibers having a length within a range of about 0.020-0.025 inches. The percentage by weight of filler mixture to resin is optimized such that thermal and electrical conductivity is maximized, while still maintaining desired mechanical properties of the caulk once cured. Preferably, the thermally and electrically conductive particles and fibers are made of carbon. In addition, it is preferred that the large thermally and electrically conductive particles have a particle size of approximately 325 microns, the fine thermally and electrically conductive particles have a particle size of approximately 75 microns, and the thermally and electrically conductive fibers have a length of approximately 0.020 inches. This caulk exhibits a high thermal and electrical conductivity because the differently sized particles result in close packing of the particles in the resinous material making up the remainder of the caulk. Additionally, the thermal and electrical conductivity of the caulk is retained when the caulk is flexed or thermally expanded because of the short fibers employed in the filler material. The carbon fibers maintain contact between particles which have been pulled apart due to the aforementioned flexing or expansion.

A phthalimide compound and an aromatic dialiphatic acid are reacted in the presence of an acetate of monovalent metal at elevated temperatures to form a phenylenebis diphthalimidine compound. The phenylenebis diphthalimidine compound is then reacted with 3-benzylidine phthalimidine and a metal salt of an aliphatic acid at elevated temperatures under an inert gas to form the intensely magnetic polymer. The reactions may be carried out in the presence of a solvent.
