A stapling tool for hardwood flooring staples and hardwood tongue and groove flooring planks is disclosed. The tool has a body that includes a body base surface, a stop surface, a body top surface and a staple slot. The tool has a rod assembly that includes a hammering head and a staple driving head. A hardwood flooring staple, inserted into the staple slot, followed by the staple driving head, is guided by the staple slot. In response to impact force received by the hammering head from a head of a hammer, the staple driving head drives the hardwood flooring staple into an external angle formed by the tongue and the outside edge of the plank. The staple may be inserted from beyond a plane defined by the body top surface. The staple slot may be at an angle greater than 45 degrees, less than or equal to 85 degrees.

Stapling tool for hardwood plank staples

A tool for driving a floor staple including an outer tubular body and a rod insertable into the tubular body. The tubular body has an end tip having angled surfaces and an inner bore. The rod is biased with the inner bore. The inner bore has a staple slot allowing an exposed end a staple to fit within the outer tubular body. The rod has a hammering head, which when struck, drives staple into a flooring plank.

Spring loaded set tool for hardwood plank staples

A plank top set tool for driving hardwood staples including a body having an underside base surface which contacts a base top and an angled stop surface fitting over the vertical surface leading to the tongue base. Extending at a 45 degree angle through the block is a staple slot bore having a staple slot width. A rod is insertable into the bore and has a first end acting as a hammering head to receive an impact force and a second end configured to receive a staple head and transfer the force.
