This disclosure relates to palladium hyaluronic acid particles such as dibenzylideneacetone palladium hyaluronic acid particles. In certain embodiments, this disclosure relates to methods of managing cancer or angiogenic conditions using particles disclosed herein and pharmaceutical compositions comprising the same. In certain embodiments, an objective of this disclosure is hyaluronic acid targeting of CD44, a tumor stem cell marker. In certain embodiments, this disclosure relates to treatment with hyaluronic acid palladium particles disclosed herein for depleting CD44 cells.

Palladium hyaluronic acid particles and methods of managing cancer or angiogenic conditions

This disclosure relates to methods of managing or treating cancer with agents that lower circulating acetoacetate levels, such as hypolipidemic agents, or other agents that antagonize acetoacetate-BRAF V600 mutant binding to attenuate BRAF V600 mutant tumor growth. In certain embodiments, this disclosure relates to methods of treating cancer comprising administering an effective amount of an agent to a subject in need thereof, wherein the agent is dehydroacetic acid, derivative, prodrug, or salt thereof.

Dehydroacetic acid (DHAA) and derivative for uses in treating cancer

Compounds, pharmaceutical compositions including the compounds, and methods of preparation and use thereof are disclosed. The compounds are triphenyl methane analogs. The compounds and compositions can be used to treat and/or prevent a wide variety of cancers, including drug resistant cancers, inflammatory, degenerative and vascular diseases, including various ocular diseases, and parasitic infections. Representative triphenyl methane analogs include triphenyl methane analogs of various dyes, hormones, sugars, peptides, oligonucleotides, amino acids, nucleotides, nucleosides, and polyols. The compounds are believed to function by inhibiting tNOX expression, the effects of ROS, and/or the production of HIF2. Thus, the compounds are novel therapeutic agents for a variety of cancers and other diseases.

Triarylmethane analogs and their use in treating cancers

Liposomes of a size of less than 200 nanometers target tumors and preferentially deliver imipramine blue to tumors, including brain tumors such as gliomas. The imipramine blue decreases the invasiveness of the tumors, and inhibits tumor metastasis. The liposomes include cholesterol and chemically pure phospholipids that are essentially neutral and contain saturated fatty acids of between 16 and 18 carbon atoms, such as distearoylphosphatidyl choline, and can also include one or more pegylated phospholipids, such as DSPE-PEG.

Carbazole formulations for the treatment of psoriasis and angiogenesis

Compounds, pharmaceutical compositions including the compounds, and methods of preparation and use thereof are disclosed. The compounds are hexafluoro-honokiol analogs. The compounds and compositions can be used to treat and/or prevent a wide variety of cancers, including drug resistant cancers. Representative hexafluoro-honokiol analogs include hexafluoro-honokiol, analogs in which one or both hydroxy groups are replaced with dichloroacetate esters, and analogs with increased fluorination. The compounds are believed to function, at least, by inhibiting angiogenesis and/or inducing apoptosis. Thus, the compounds are novel therapeutic agents for a variety of cancers.

Bis-trifluoromethyl honokiol analogs and their use in treating cancers

Compounds, pharmaceutical compositions including the compounds, and methods of preparation and use thereof are disclosed. The compounds are fulvene and/or fulvalene analogs. The compounds and compositions can be used to treat and/or prevent a wide variety of cancers, including drug resistant cancers, as well as numerous inflammatory, degenerative and vascular diseases, including various ocular diseases. Representative fulvene and/or fulvalene analogs include fulvene and fulvalene analogs of various dyes, hormones, sugars, peptides, oligonucleotides, amino acids, nucleotides, nucleosides, and polyols. The compounds are believed to function, at least, by inhibiting Nox or ROS. In some embodiments, the Nox is one that is selectively expressed in cancer cells over normal cells, or one that is expressed in higher amounts in cancer cells over normal cells. Thus, the compounds are novel therapeutic agents for a variety of cancers and other diseases.

Fulvene and fulvalene analogs and their use in treating cancers

Compounds, pharmaceutical compositions including the compounds, and methods of preparation and use thereof are disclosed. The compounds are honokiol analogs. The compounds and compositions can be used to treat and/or prevent a wide variety of cancers, including drug resistant cancers. Representative honokiol analogs include diepoxide honokiol analogs. Honokiol analogs and their use in treating cancers

The invention relates to methods and compositions for inhibiting proteasome activity using cinnamate compounds. These cinnamate compounds can be formulated for topical or systemic use for skin disorders such as psoriasis.

Proteasome inhibitors and uses thereof

The disclosure relates to methods of treating tuberous sclerosis in a subject, comprising administering a composition comprising an mTOR inhibitor and a tyrosine kinase inhibitor to a subject that is diagnosed with, suspected of, or exhibiting symptoms of cancer. In some embodiments, the cancer is tuberous sclerosis. In some embodiments, the mTOR inhibitor is sirolimus and the tyrosine kinase inhibitor is imatinib. In some embodiments, the disclosure relates to a composition comprising an mTOR inhibitor and a tyrosine kinase inhibitor. In some embodiments, the disclosure relates to a composition comprising sirolimus and imatinib.
