An injection system includes an injector head that is configured to control delivery of a designated fluid to a patient. The injector head includes a syringe interface along an active side of the injector head. The syringe interface has a receiving cavity that is configured to receive a syringe barrel. The injector head also includes an internal sensor. A magnetic switch has an external magnet outside of the injector head. The external magnet is operable to modify a magnetic field experienced by the internal sensor to activate the internal sensor.

A guidewire insertion tool includes a sidewall defining a passageway having a first open end and a second open end and a neck therebetween. The passageway tapers from the first and second open ends to the neck. The sidewall has a slit extending longitudinally along the sidewall. A tab is adjacent one of the first or second open ends for removing the tool from a guidewire through the slit.

An adapter for a medical receptacle having an internally threaded skirt with an outside diameter and an inside diameter, and a post within the skirt, includes a proximal end portion having a threaded surface including at least one thread configured to threadingly engage a threaded interior of a skirt of a medical receptacle, and a distal end portion having a surface portion and a generally cylindrical recess. The proximal end portion includes a tapered recess defined by a wall, a chamfer, and a seat and the surface portion includes a gripping mechanism. A conduit is positioned between the tapered recess and the generally cylindrical recess such that the conduit is in fluid communication with both the recess and the generally cylindrical recess.

A guidewire positioning tool includes a sheath having a body bore extending axially through a length of the sheath with a radially extending body slot configured to receive a guidewire. A collet portion extends laterally from the sheath and has collet arms and interstitial spaces with a collet bore extending therethrough. The collet bore has a collet slot extending radially from the collet bore configured to receive a guidewire. The collet arms have threads located on the exterior of the collet arms. A clamp nut is positioned over the collet portion and configured to threadably engage the threads. A retainer is rotatably attached to an end of the sheath opposite from the collet portion. The retainer has a retainer bore extending axially therethrough. The retainer has a retainer slot extending radially from the retainer bore configured to receive a guidewire.

A container for packaging associated articles includes coupling members fashioned on one or more sides of the container for interconnecting a plurality of containers together. The coupling members may be integrally fashioned with the containers and may comprise raised ribs and recessed channels for press fitting the adjacently placed containers together.

A syringe adapter assemblyfor permitting a front loadable power injectorhaving a pressure jacketwith an open front end to attach syringesthat do not require pressure jackets for their intended purpose. The syringe adapter assembly comprises a main adapter bodyhaving a central boretherethrough, a lifting ringsecured within the main adapter body, a connector platefor attaching the main adapter body to the door injector, and a drive ram extenderthat attaches to the drive ram. Additionally, the ram extendermay have a ram tip coneattached at its forward end. The connector plateis inserted into a recessin the rear side of the door, and attaches to the main adapter bodylocated on the front side of the door. The invention additionally or alternatively comprises both a syringe lockthat locks an installed syringe relative to the injector to prevent unwanted movement of the syringe, and a method of locking syringe relative to an injector.

Method of locking a syringe to an injector

A syringe adapter includes an adapter body having a first connecting portion that may be received into a power injector unit used to deliver contrast media. The adapter also includes a second connecting portion configured to receive the rearward end of an associated syringe. The adapter includes means for encoding information about the associated syringe that may be communicated to the power injector unit through one or more sensors. The means for encoding information may include a mechanism that moves linearly laterally back and forth to activate an actuator used to convey the encoded information. In particular, the action of installing the adapter may be decoupled from the action of encoding information.

A mold includes a controller and core actuators that may independently drive a plurality of mold cores positioned with the mold. Sensors may be included whereby the mold cores are positioned in the mold core responsive to the sensor feedback. The core actuators may be servomotors and may further include motor controllers, one for each servomotor, for use in actuating the mold cores.

An adapter for a medical receptacle having a skirt with an outside diameter and a threaded inside diameter, and a tapered post within the skirt, the adapter includes a proximal end portion having a threaded surface including at least one thread configured to threadingly engage the threaded inside diameter of the skirt, a distal end portion having a surface portion and a cylindrical recess, a conduit positioned between the tapered recess and the cylindrical recess such that the conduit is in fluid communication with both the tapered recess and the cylindrical recess; and a longitudinal axis. The proximal end portion includes a tapered recess defined by a wall, a chamfer, and a seat and the surface portion includes a means for gripping, which in one embodiment may be at least two wings.

Syringe adapter

A syringe plunger/jacket assembly may comprise a flexible jacket attached to a rigid plunger. The jacket may comprise at least two sealing rings (front and rear) that prevent fluid from leaking out of the rear of the barrel during injection of fluid from the syringe. The rear sealing ring may not contact or seal the interior surface of the syringe barrel in an unloaded state. In the loaded state, when force is applied in the direction of the forward discharge end of the syringe, pressure is created on the jacket. This condition causes the rear seal to expand and contact and/or seal the interior surface of the syringe barrel.

A syringe plunger/jacket assembly may comprise a flexible jacket attached to a rigid plunger. The jacket may comprise at least two sealing rings (front and rear) that prevent fluid from leaking out of the rear of the barrel during injection of fluid from the syringe. The rear sealing ring may or may not contact or seal the interior surface of the syringe barrel in an unloaded state. In the loaded state, when force is applied in the direction of the forward discharge end of the syringe, pressure is created on the jacket. This condition causes the rear seal to expand and contact and/or seal the interior surface of the syringe barrel.

A syringe adapter assembly comprises an adapter body and a ram extender. In one embodiment, the adapter body () is attached to an injector by a rear connector plate (). In a second aspect, the adapter body () may comprise a drain hole () and/or sealing ring (). In another aspect, the invention comprises a cleaning member () having a body () and a plurality of cleaning members () extending therefrom.
