Guerbet alkyl ether mono amines

The present invention relates to novel methods of stabilizing polymers of acrylonitrile. The polymers are stabilized by the inclusion of small amounts of stable free radicals compounds which act to inhibit the homopolymerization of the acrylonitrile while promoting the reaction of the acrylonitrile with nucleophilic species such as amines and alcohols.

The present invention deals with the composition, and application of novel highly branched borate esters, which function as unique oil phases for use in personal care, textile and related applications. The properties of these novel compounds which makes them well suited for these applications is the fact that they are substantive to fibers, hair and skin, are very mild to the skin and eyes. These materials are surprisingly stable to hydrolysis.

The present invention deals with novel internal branched ether esters based upon novel ether alcohols. These materials are useful as viscosity index modifiers where outstanding liquidity, resistance to oxidation, and minimal variation in viscosity as a function of temperature is required.

The present application relates to a novel method of stabilizing the molecular weight of alkoxylates and stable compositions. The polyoxyalkylene compounds have incorporated into them, from the time of reaction of the alkylene oxide, a free radical type inhibitor which significantly improves stability of both the polymer.
