A method for batch brazing in a diffusion furnace includes inserting a plurality of fusible parts into a plurality of slots of at least one quartz boat, transporting the at least one quartz boat, including the fusible parts, into an interior of a reaction chamber of the diffusion furnace, sealing the interior of the reaction chamber, adjusting an atmosphere of the interior of the reaction chamber according to a recipe, moving a preheated furnace heating element from a location spaced apart from the reaction chamber to a location in substantial proximity with the reaction chamber to increase a temperature of the atmosphere of the interior of the reaction chamber above a predefined brazing temperature for a predefined brazing time period according to the recipe.

Jet stack brazing in a diffusion furnace

A method for batch brazing jet stacks in a diffusion furnace. The method may include inserting fusible parts into slots of quartz boats and transporting the quartz boats into an interior of a reaction chamber of a diffusion furnace. An operator may seal the interior of the reaction chamber and an atmosphere of the interior of the reaction chamber may be adjusted according to a brazing recipe. A preheated furnace heating element may be moved toward the reaction chamber to increase a temperature and the fusible parts may be brazed according to the brazing recipe. The furnace heating element may then be moved away from the reaction chamber, the chamber unsealed, and the brazed parts removed.

The present invention provides an ink jet print head having an improved driver design and capable of extended and continuous periods of operation with substantially reduced rectified diffusion-induced printing quality degradation. In preferred ink jet print heads of the present invention, the ink-contacting portion of the surface of the diaphragm of a piezoelectric ceramic/diaphragm drive mechanism is electropolished. By electropolishing only a portion of one surface, the ink-contacting surface, of one ink jet print head component, rectified diffusion is greatly reduced.

An improved mesh lens for PDA-type cathode-ray tubes is constructed in a manner that permits deformation into a concavo-convex shape with a substantially shorter radius of curvature than heretofore obtainable with prior art devices. A mesh lens (12) formed in accordance with this invention particularly comprises of multitude of interconnected webs (58) forming an array of apertures (60). Each web (58) has opposing ends and a midline (62) extending between those ends. The mesh (12) is configured so that an individual aperture (60) of the array is formed by a set of webs (58) interconnected at their ends. The midline (62) of each web in the undeformed mesh defines a bent line. The mesh can be deformed into a concavo-convex shape having a relatively short radius of curvature. This is so because the individual webs of the mesh respond to the application of deformation forces by initially straightening, thereby effectively delaying the development of tensile stresses in the webs.
