A thermostatic control device according to the present disclosure is configured to control the flow of coolant fluid from a reservoir through a heat exchanging circuit and/or a bypass back to a cooling circuit pump. The device controls the flow of coolant fluid based on temperature of the coolant fluid at the device. The thermostatic control device includes a thermostatic valve with notches that allow metered flow of coolant fluid to the heat exchanging circuit during opening of the thermostatic valve.

A multi-way valve adapted to control a flow of fluid to different thermal fluid circuits includes a valve housing, a valve flow controller, and a sealing system. The valve flow controller is arranged in the valve housing to control flow through the valve housing. The sealing system is configured to seal between the valve housing and the valve flow controller.

A nozzle inhibitor is adapted to be arranged in a filler neck included in a fuel-tank fill tube and is configured to allow only a diesel fuel nozzle having an outer diameter that is greater than a specified minimum diameter to be inserted into the fill tube to a depth sufficient so that a user may dispense diesel fuel from that nozzle into the fill tube. The nozzle inhibitor inhibits insertion of a small-diameter unleaded fuel nozzle into the fill tube, yet allows insertion of a relatively larger diameter diesel fuel nozzle into the fill tube so that only diesel fuel is dispensed into a diesel fuel tank coupled to the fill tube.

A fluid regulator for an engine coolant system includes a thermostat. The thermostat is configured to route engine coolant through an engine and a radiator in one mode and through the engine to bypass the radiator in another mode.

A nozzle inhibitor is included in a fuel tank filler neck closure assembly. The nozzle inhibitor blocks full insertion of a small-diameter unleaded fuel nozzle into the filler neck closure assembly yet allows full insertion of a large-diameter diesel fuel nozzle into the filler neck closure assembly.

A thermal recirculation valve (TRV) is described that provides for effective fuel module heating during cold operation to mitigate fuel waxing or gelling issues. The TRV allows for the control of heated return fuel flow into the module dependent upon the module's outlet fuel temperature without the return fuel directly contacting the wax element. The wax element is isolated from direct contact with the higher temperature return fuel through use of an elastomeric seal which prevents return fuel from directly contacting the wax element. In addition, the wax element is positioned in the fuel outlet of the module.

A filler neck closure assembly is provided for a fuel tank filler neck. The closure assembly is configured to receive a fuel-dispensing pump nozzle and to regulate discharge of liquid fuel and fuel vapor from a fuel tank filler neck to the surroundings.

The nozzle inhibitor blocks full insertion of a small-diameter unleaded fuel nozzle into the filler neck closure assembly yet allows full insertion of a large-diameter diesel fuel nozzle into the filler neck closure assembly.

A nozzle inhibitor is positioned in a filler neck closure assembly between a pivotable outer door and a pivotable inner door to prevent a user from pumping unleaded fuel into a diesel fuel tank. The nozzle inhibitor blocks full insertion of a small-diameter unleaded fuel nozzle into the filler neck closure assembly yet allows full insertion of a large-diameter diesel fuel nozzle into the filler neck closure assembly.

An evaporative emissions control fuel cap system comprises a closure adapted to mate with a fuel tank. The closure includes a passageway formed therein to conduct vapors from the fuel tank to the atmosphere. The closure includes a filter configured to capture hydrocarbons positioned in the passageway so that fuel vapor flowing from the fuel tank is scrubbed of hydrocarbons before being discharged to the atmosphere.

Evaporative emissions control fuel cap

A fuel tank vent system includes a fuel vapor vent apparatus and a vent controller. The fuel vapor vent apparatus is adapted to be coupled to a fuel tank. The vent controller is coupled to the fuel vapor vent apparatus and configured to control flow of fuel vapor from the fuel tank through the fuel vapor vent apparatus to a destination outside the fuel tank.

A fuel tank vent apparatus comprises a housing. The housing comprises inner and outer sleeves providing a fuel vapor transfer passageway therebetween so that liquid fuel entrained in fuel vapor is shed therefrom as fuel vapor flows from a fuel vapor transfer port formed in the outer sleeve through the fuel vapor transfer passageway to a fuel vapor inlet port formed in the inner sleeve to produce a flow of demoisturized fuel vapor for discharge from the housing.
