Seed set occurs on a prolific basis. Winter hardiness is very good. Additionally, the new variety is particularly well suited for growing as distinctive ornamentation in the landscape.

A new and distinct variety of rose plant of the miniature rose class, which was originated by my crossing an unnamed seedling of Prominent as seed parent and Rise 'n Shine as pollen parent; characterized by striking deep yellow flowers highlighted by a deep orange-red wash at the tip and point of recurl, resulting in a fiery effect. The exceptionally fragrant flowers are borne singly on long, strong cutting canes on this upright, spreading, and vigorous growing plant.

Little Starburst rose plant

A new and distinct variety of rose plant of the miniature rose class, which was originated by my crossing Gingersnap as seed parent and Orange Honey as pollen parent; characterized by a vivid orange-gold shingle-like bloom accented by a striking deep yellow center and corresponding deep yellow at the point of attachment. The flowers are produced singly and in miniature grandiflora-type sprays on vigorous, upright plants having very attractive deep green, waxy foliage. Fragrance is slightly fruity.

A new and distinct variety of rose plant of the miniature rose class, which was originated by my crossing Rose Parade as seed parent and Easter Morning as pollen parent; characterized by well-formed delicate, creamy ivory-yellow blooms accented by a deep blush pink at the edge of petals and a deep yellow at the point of attachment. Individual flowers are borne singly and in clusters of three. The plant is vigorous and compact, producing abundant blooms which last well on the plant.

A new and distinct variety of Miniature rose plant is provided having very attractive petite double flowers which are white with a light pink blush. The new variety resulted from the crossing of the Ma Perkins variety (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 1,143) and the Easter Morning variety (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 2,177). This new variety is extremely floriferous during the entire growing season making it particularly well suited for use in parks and gardens. The plant commonly achieves a height of only approximately 8 to 12 inches.

Miniature rose plant--Wilbentur variety

A new and distinct variety of Miniature rose plant is provided having highly attractive double flowers which exhibit a blend of orange and yellow tones. The new variety resulted from the crossing of the Zorina variety (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 2,321) and the Starina variety (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 2,646). The buds of the new variety are perfectly formed and blossom into gracefully shaped blooms of approximately one and one-half inches. The variety also forces well and performs well outdoors.

Miniature rose plant--Wildak variety

A new and distinct variety of Miniature rose plant is provided having attractive and very abundant blossoms which are Spinel red in coloration. The new variety resulted from the crossing of the Pinafore variety (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 1,810) and the unnamed seedling resulting from the cross of the Lilibet variety (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 1,209) and the Fairy Queen variety (non-patented). It is a very vigorous grower with a low-growing semi-spreading habit. The blossoms are single and petite and are borne in clusters of up to a dozen or more. The new variety is particularly suited for ornamental use in the home landscape.

Miniature rose plant-Wilsma variety

A new and distinct variety of Floribunda rose plant is provided having highly attractive double white flowers with a yellow center. The new variety resulted from the crossing of the Ma Perkins variety U.S. Plant Pat. No. 1,143) and an unnamed seedling resulting from the cross of the Charlie McCarthy variety (non-patented) and the Easter Morning variety (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 2,177). The new variety is a vigorous grower and can easily attain a height of twenty-four inches in a growing season. This new variety is particularly well suited for garden use, but also thrives in a greenhouse environment.

Floribunda rose plant--Wilblank variety

A novel rose variety of the hybrid tea class characterized by large flowers of carmine-pink and ivory coloring, a vigorous upright growing plant with large dark green waxed foliage as shown and described herein.
