A rotor () for a grinding machine () for the foodstuffs and feedstock industry, having an external diameter of between 0.5 and 0.6 m, comprising a plurality of substantially cylindrical, in particular hollow cylindrical, grinding elements (). One such grinding element () has an outer grinding surface () substantially in the form of a circular cylinder jacket, and the grinding elements () are arranged coaxially above one another and in such a way that a substantially annular air gap () is produced between the grinding surfaces () of two adjacent grinding elements (). A passive food screen device () for flour in a delivery flow comprising: a housing () with a housing inlet () and a housing outlet (); a closed screen insert () arranged substantially within the housing () such that a spatial area () is formed between the inner wall () of the housing () and the outer wall () of the screen insert () and screen elements () of the screen insert () are arranged substantially parallel to the main conveying direction (F); and a hose coupling () on the housing inlet () and/or on the housing outlet (). The food screen device allows a high delivery capacity, and, by virtue of its narrow design, can be carried on a silo vehicle and used as a control screen when delivering flour. The food screen device () is designed such that the flour can be moved in an air delivery stream.

A beating device () for inactivating insects in a pourable feedstuff or foodstuff, with a housing (), which has at least one inlet opening () and at least one outlet opening () for the material to be treated. A drum () is arranged in the housing () and rotatably about an axis of rotation (). A plurality of blade elements () of a first type extend approximately parallel to the axis of rotation () and have a beating surface () arranged between two end parts () of the drum (). The drum is partially () circumferentially surrounded by a wall () of the housing () and the at least one inlet opening () and the at least one outlet opening () are formed in the wall ().

A fractionating device comprises at least one inlet for feedstock, at least one light material outlet for a light material fraction and at least one heavy material outlet for a heavy material fraction. A flow generator for generating gas flow in the fractionating device for separating the light and heavy fractions. A curved centrifugal separating device separates the light material fraction from the gas flow. A conveyor downstream of the inlet carries the feedstock into the centrifugal separating device. At least 50% of the gas can be conducted in the fractionating device as a circulatory flow which is conducted around the conveying device.
