'Control system for a gas cooking device or any other gas device comprising at least one gas burner () and, for each gas burner (), an electromagnetic valve () to open or cut off the gas flow to the gas burner (), said electromagnetic valve () comprising magnetic means () to keep the gas flow open, and an actuator () that is operated manually so that it acts on the magnetic means () of the electromagnetic valve (), thereby opening the gas flow. The control system () generates a current signal (I) that circulates through the magnetic means () of the electromagnetic valve () and detects when the actuator () is operated in accordance with the change in magnetic reluctance of said magnetic means ().'

Control system for a gas cooking device

The gas flow regulating valve () is adapted to one cooking burner amongst the several on a cooking hob. The regulating valve member () is cylindrical-shaped and coupled to a step motor 'M', which controls the axial displacement 'X' thereof through a fixed closure member (), over successive positions (P&#x2013;P) effecting the regulation of an outlet gas flow &#x201c;Q&#x201d; between the OFF and a minimum flow Qmin. The regulating member () is provided with at least one elongated superficial recess (') communicating the inlet side () with the outlet side () of the gas chamber, a regulating surface opening () provided with a surface groove () adjacent to said superficial recess () towards the outlet side (), in the form of a variable passage area (A,H) for the regulation of a intermediate flow Qgra, and at least one gas through-flow conduit () in permanent communication with the outlet side () for a calibrated flow Qmin.

Electronic valve for flow regulation on a cooking burner

The system () for controlling the combustion () of a cooking oven burner (), comprises in combination a thermostat valve () with a rotary hand knob () and a non-electric temperature sensor () for modulating the burner flame (), and an electromagnetic safety valve kept open for ignition, and a electronic module () supplying in a first moment a DC power supply to the safety valve (), which is then maintained open by a thermocouple () heated by the main flame (). A common electrode () is provided both for electronic flame detection and ignition. During the burner pre-ignition step, the absence of flame detection signal (If) permits the gas flow (G) to be cut off after a short timed interval, irrespective of the thermocouple response. In the event of the AC power supply being cut off, the thermocouple () and the thermostat valve () keep the burner modulated independently.
