The positive electrode material according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes a first solid electrolyte, a positive electrode active material, and a coating material coating the surface of the positive electrode active material. The first solid electrolyte is represented by the following compositional formula: LiMOX. In the compositional formula, a, b, c, and d are positive real numbers; M is at least one selected from the group consisting of Ta and Nb; and X is at least one selected from the group consisting of Cl, Br, and I.

Provided is a cathode material including a cathode active material; a coating layer which coats at least a part of a surface of the cathode active material, and which includes a first solid electrolyte material; and a second solid electrolyte material. The first solid electrolyte material includes Li, M, and X; however, does not include sulfur. A battery includes a positive electrode, a first electrolyte layer, a second electrolyte layer, a third electrolyte layer, and a negative electrode, which are arranged in the order stated. The first electrolyte layer includes a first solid electrolyte material. The second electrolyte layer includes a second solid electrolyte material. The third electrolyte layer includes a third solid electrolyte material. The second solid electrolyte material has a Young's modulus that is less than a Young's modulus of the first solid electrolyte material and less than a Young's modulus of the third solid electrolyte material. The first solid electrolyte material and the third solid electrolyte material are materials different from each other.

A positive-electrode material according to the present disclosure includes a positive-electrode active material and a coating layer covering the positive-electrode active material, wherein the coating layer contains lithium and carbon, the positive-electrode active material and the coating layer constitute a coated active material, and the ratio C/Li of the carbon content to the lithium content in a surface layer portion of the coated active material is 3.27 or more based on the atomic ratio.

A positive electrode material includes: a positive electrode active material; a coating layer covering at least part of the surface of the positive electrode active material; and a second solid electrolyte. The coating layer includes a first solid electrolyte. The first solid electrolyte includes Li, M1 and F. M1 is at least one selected from the group consisting of Ti, Al and Zr. The second solid electrolyte includes Li, M2, O and X. M2 is at least one selected from the group consisting of Ta and Nb. X is at least one selected from the group consisting of F, Cl, Br and I.

The coating material covers the surface of the positive electrode active material and contains lithium carbonate.

The present disclosure provides a cathode material which has improved charge/discharge efficiency; and a battery using the same. The cathode material includes a cathode active material and a first solid electrolyte material; and the first solid electrolyte material contains Li, M and X; however, does not include sulfur. M represents at least one element that is selected from the group consisting of metalloid elements and metal elements other than Li. X represents at least one selected from the group consisting of Cl and Br, and I. The cathode active material includes lithium iron phosphate.

Cathode material and battery using same

An electrode material includes an electrode active material, a first solid electrolyte material, and a coating material. The first solid electrolyte material includes Li, M, and X and does not include sulfur, where M includes at least one selected from the group consisting of metal elements other than Li and metalloid elements, and X is at least one selected from the group consisting of Cl, Br, and I. The coating material is located on the surface of the electrode active material.

Electrode material and battery

An ion conductor material includes a solid-electrolyte material and a resin binder. The solid-electrolyte material includes Li, M, and X. The M is at least one selected from the group consisting of metal and metalloid elements other than Li. The X is at least one selected from the group consisting of F, Cl, Br, and I. The molar ratio of a modification group included in the resin binder to the solid-electrolyte material is less than or equal to 0.0002.

A battery includes a positive electrode current collector, a positive electrode, a first electrolyte layer, a second electrolyte layer, a negative electrode, and a negative electrode current collector in this order. The first electrolyte layer contains a first solid electrolyte material, and the second electrolyte layer contains a second solid electrolyte material, the second solid electrolyte material being different from the first solid electrolyte material. A reduction potential of the second solid electrolyte material is less noble than a reduction potential of the first solid electrolyte material. The second electrolyte layer covers the negative electrode and is in contact with the negative electrode current collector, and/or the second electrolyte layer covers the first electrolyte layer and is in contact with the positive electrode current collector.

A battery includes a positive electrode current collector, a positive electrode, a first electrolyte layer, a second electrolyte layer, a negative electrode, and a negative electrode current collector in this order. The first electrolyte layer contains a first solid electrolyte material, and the second electrolyte layer contains a second solid electrolyte material, the second solid electrolyte material being different from the first solid electrolyte material. An oxidation potential of the first solid electrolyte material is more noble than an oxidation potential of the second solid electrolyte material. The first electrolyte layer covers the positive electrode and is in contact with the positive electrode current collector, and/or the first electrolyte layer covers the second electrolyte layer and is in contact with the negative electrode current collector.

A battery includes a power generating element containing a solid electrolyte, and a first member in contact with a principal surface of the power generating element. The principal includes a central portion and an end portion with a ring-like shape surrounding the central portion in a plan view. The first member includes a central region overlapping with the central portion of the principal surface in a plan view, and an end region overlapping with the end portion of the principal surface in a plan view. At least one of the central region or the end region is in contact with the principal surface. A Young's modulus of the end region is smaller than that of the central region.

A positive electrode material includes a positive electrode active material, a cover layer that covers at least part of a surface of the positive electrode active material and that contains a first solid electrolyte material, and a second solid electrolyte material that is a material different from the first solid electrolyte material. The first solid electrolyte material contains Li, M, and X and does not contain sulfur. M represents at least one element selected from the group consisting of metal elements other than Li and semi-metal elements, and X represents halogen elements including Cl.
