Provided is an analyzer performing solid-phase extraction of a measurement component (i.e., component to be measured) in a sample solution while decreasing an amount of waste generated and reducing a running cost. The analyzer includes: a solid-phase extraction container having a body part to receive a sample solution containing a measurement component of analytical target and a discharge passage to discharge the sample solution. Herein, the discharge passage is to be filled with a solid-phase extraction material for subjecting the measurement component to solid-phase extraction. The analyzer further includes a supplying mechanism for a solid-phase extraction material; a filter supplying mechanism; a determining mechanism for filling position; a discharging mechanism for discharging the filter and the solid-phase extraction material after the solid-phase extraction of the measurement component; and a container cleaning mechanism for cleaning the solid-phase extraction container from which the solid-phase extraction material is removed.

Analysis device including solid-phase extraction material filling and discharging mechanisms

A solid-phase extraction apparatus capable of carrying out highly accurate solid-phase extraction by automatically controlling liquid-permeation speeds in an adsorbing step, a cleaning step, and an eluting step of the solid-phase extraction in order to improve the accuracy of the collection rate of a measurement component(s) also in measurement of each of sample solutions respectively having different viscosities and to ensure a certain processing ability. The solid-phase extraction apparatus includes a sample dispensing unit that dispenses a sample solution, a solid-phase extraction unit that carries out a solid-phase extraction process of applying a pressure to the sample solution dispensed by the sample dispensing unit and extracting the measurement component from the sample solution, and a converting unit that measures the viscosity of the sample solution and determines the pressure to be applied to a solid-phase extraction cartridge based on the information of the measured viscosity of the sample solution.

In order to achieve an ionization method of high robustness with a small carry-over or less crosstalk, an ionization method is disclosed. Disclosed is a specimen processing system that includes meanscircularly disposed to carry a reaction vesselused for separating and extracting desired substances from a specimen to be processed, a plurality of processing steps, executed as processing progresses along a transport line for the reaction vesselon the transport means, for conducting various processes upon the specimen to be processed that is accommodated in the reaction vessel, suctioning and discharging meansthat dispenses the specimen from a specimen containersupplied to the system, into the reaction vessel, and a filtering vessel sectionprovided as a part of the reaction vessel. This system configuration allows realization of a rapid preprocessing system capable of reducing the number of disposable parts of a low carry-over type, suppressing a decrease in cost performance, operating with high collection efficiency, and employing compact devices.

Specimen processing system

To perform accurate measurement in the analysis of chemical components with low concentration, pretreatment such as concentration and purification of samples is essential. For high-throughput of pretreatment of biological samples, various random clinical testing is encountered, where analytes change from sample to sample. The pretreatment apparatus has a separating agent selectively separating a specific component by allowing a sample solution to flow therethrough. A holding section holds a plurality of housing sections, which house the separating agent therein, and has an endless track. A pressurizing section applies pressure to the housing section in a continuous and random-accessible manner; and an extraction solution receiver mechanism selectively receives an extracted solution from the separating agent housed in the housing section. A mass spectrometer is that can be connected to the pretreatment apparatus. Thus, a large number of specimens can be simultaneously processed.

Pretreatment apparatus and mass spectrometer equipped with the same apparatus

An immunoanalytical system in which, after a sample such as a patient's serum is subjected to a pretreatment by an immunological pretreatment device, the sample is subjected to light detection by an immunological photometric detection system. Subsequently, the mass spectrometric pretreatment device performs a pretreatment, and the mass spectrometric detection system performs mass spectrometry. The mass spectrometric detection system performs mass spectrometry on components contained in a supernatant. A signal intensity and peak area for each of components are calculated from an obtained chromatograph. Provided herein are an examination device and an examination method that can efficiently perform examination even when both whole blood and serum/blood plasma specimens are to be examined. A solid-phase extraction cartridge or a filter is placed on a continuous track of a cartridge table. A cup table is disposed below the cartridge table. A cup is placed on a continuous track of the cup table to receive a sample purified by the filter. When viewed from above, the continuous track of the cartridge table and the continuous track of the cup table cross each other at a position 'm', and each of the tracks crosses a position at which a sample probe operates. A pretreatment for serum/blood plasma is completed in one rotation of the cartridge table. A pretreatment for whole blood is completed in two rotations of the cartridge table.

The present invention relates to a pretreatment apparatus that performs concentration and separation of a sample, and in particular, in order to provide a sample pretreatment apparatus using a solid-phase extraction column, and a mass spectrometer using the same, which is particularly suitable for clinical analysis in which qualitative/quantitative analysis of a biological sample such as blood is performed, according to each operational step for a solid-phase extraction treatment, for example, a collection device serving as flow passages or containers for collection of waste liquid or extracted matter is installed on a bottom face of the solid-phase extraction column, and the extracted matter is separately collected without being mixed with waste liquid by switching the positions of the collection device.

An electron capture dissociation device to implement a combination of electron capture dissociation and collision dissociation and a mass spectrometer with the use thereof are provided. This device includes a linear ion trap provided with linear multipole electrodes applied with a radio frequency electric field and wall electrodes that are arranged on both ends in the axis direction of the linear multipole electrodes, have holes on the central axis thereof, and generate a wall electric field by being applied with a direct-current voltage, a cylindrical magnetic field-generating unit that generates a magnetic field parallel to the central axis of the linear multipole electrodes and surrounds the linear ion trap, and an electron source arranged opposite to the linear multipole electrodes with sandwiching one of the wall electrodes. The electron generation site of the electron source is placed in the inside of the magnetic field generated by the magnetic field-generating unit.
