Non-contact charger and non-contact charging system

In an optical printing system for printing an image on a recording sheet, adopted as the recording sheet is a sheet coated with microcapsules on one surface thereon. Each microcapsule envelopes a first component which changes color when reacts with a second component. The second component may be coated on the recording sheet or may be coated on a separate developing sheet. The microcapsule further envelopes a third component which varies the mechanical strength of microcapsule when light is projected thereto. An image is formed on the recording sheet by selectively exposing a light thereto in accordance with the image to be printed thereon, and the microcapsules on the recording sheet whose mechanical strength is low are then ruptured by rupturing means. Thereby, the visible image is developed. The exposing is carried out by repeating a predetermined-period exposure at a predetermined interval against the same portion of the recording sheet. The printing operation of the printing system is executed by control means in accordance with a predetermined sequence.

Optical printing system

In an image reading apparatus having a fluorescent lamp as a light source, the apparatus is so arranged that a so-called shading along a lengthwise direction of the fluorescent lamp and an effection caused by a change of a light amount of the fluorescent lamps are compensated simultaneously. Thus, in the image reading apparatus, it is possible to read an image of an original in a simple structure without being affected by the shading of the light source and a change of the light amount due to secular distortion. Thereby, the number of parts of the image reading apparatus becomes small and it can be produced at a low cost.

A color image recording device for forming a mask member having a positioning mask thereon and exposing a photosensitive medium through the mask member to light to form a color image on the photosensitive medium, comprising belt for carrying the mask member thereon, two belt supporting rollers spaced at an interval and independently movable in a feeding direction of the mask member and in a vertical direction thereto, stepping motors for moving the belt supporting rollers, a sensor for detecting the position of the positioning mark and a control unit for controlling the stepping motors to register the mask member. According to one aspect of this invention, the stepping motors are controlled by the control unit to change a feeding speed of the mask member at two or more stages in accordance with an output signal from the sensor by switching the excited phases of the stepping motors or by changing an electric power supplied to at least one of the stepping motors.

An image is formed on the recording sheet by selectively rupturing the microcapsules in accordance with the image to be printed thereon, and the unruptured microcapsules remaining on the recording sheet are then hardened by exposing a light thereto and thus the image printed on the recording sheet is fixed thereon.
