A film carrier which convenes photographic photosensitive material on which an image is recorded, over a scanning section through which light from a light source passes. The film carrier includes a base placed above the scanning section, a platen movable over the base, a mask which is set on the platen, a pressure plate which together with the mask sandwiches the photographic photosensitive material, a moving device which moves the platen reciprocally over the base, and a conveying device provided at the mask for conveying the photographic photosensitive material.

An indicated state changing pin which abuts indicating pieces of a cartridge, which indicate the state of a photographic film accommodated within the cartridge, and bends the indicating pieces, wherein a proximal end portion of the indicated state changing pin is formed larger than a distal end portion of the indicated state changing pin. Therefore, since the indicating pieces are bent while abutting the indicated state changing pin, even if the moving speed of the indicated state changing pin is constant, the indicating pieces are bent slower than the case of using a linearly-formed straight pin. As a result, separation of the indicating pieces from the cartridge is prevented, and the indicating pieces are reliably bent to the necessary depth.

A film accumulator includes a pressing mechanism for consecutively pressing a plurality of films which are consecutively fed out from a printer and a holding member in which the films are accumulated and held with widthwise sides of the pressed films retained therein. Accordingly, the plurality of films can be accumulated automatically.

A negative film supplying device for successively supplying a plurality of negative films to a printing device including: a guide path connected to a negative film guide path of the printing device; a negative film holding member for holding superposed negative films, including guide portions and a base portion interposed between the guide portions, both side portions of the negative films being interposed between the guide portions, and as opposing surfaces of the guide portions move away from the base portion, the opposing surfaces are inclined in directions of approaching each other, and a length of the base portion between said guide portions is smaller than a width of the negative film so that the negative films are curved into convex shapes in the negative film holding member; moving means for moving the negative film holding member by rotating the negative film holding member between a guiding position, at which the base portion of the negative film holding member is disposed on the guide path, and a withdrawn position, at which the base portion is apart from the guide path, around a rotating shaft disposed at a side of and parallel to the guide path of the negative film supplying device; a delivery roller for delivering an outermost negative film; and a conveying roller for conveying the outermost negative film delivered from the guiding position to the printing device.

Negative film supplying device

A film supplying apparatus includes a holding member for holding the vicinity of leading end portions of strips of negative film placed therein in a superposed state with a longitudinal direction of the negative film set in a curved configuration, and a pressing device for pressing an innermost ones, as viewed in a curved state, of the strips of negative film against a feed roller via the holding member. Accordingly, as the feed roller is rotated in the negative film feeding direction, the strips of film starting with the innermost one, as viewed in the curved state, of the strips of negative film are consecutively fed to a printer. In this case, since a force acting in a direction in which the curved shape of the film is reduced is applied to the negative film being fed, no large friction occurs with respect to the remaining film.

Film supplying apparatus

A plurality of magazines each of which contains a plurality of film sheets of a type different from those contained in the other magazines are accommodated in movable trays. These movable trays are disposed within an elevator in such a manner as to be movable with respect to the elevator from a retracted position to a film unloading position. Each of the movable trays has a hook. When the elevator is moved to a desired position, an insert member such as a rod enters the hook located at that position so as to move the tray to the film unloading position at which the film sheet is taken out of the magazine.

A pair of elongated members are disposed parallel to each other on the opposite sides of a path which enables the film cassette received by the film cassette opener to be moved to a position at which the film can be loaded and/or unloaded. The pair of elongated members are arranged to guide the film cassette along the path by holding opposite sides of the film cassette between them. Also, the present opener is arranged so as to press and move at least one of the elongated members which hold the film cassette therebetween toward the other. Accordingly, since the film cassette is firmly held, it is possible to positively move the film cassette.

Apparatus for processing photosensitive material including a guide bar to which one end of the photosensitive material such as a film strip is attached, a circulating chain which carries the guide bar and which is grasped by a link plate, and a rachet wheel which delivers the guide bar between the rachet wheel and the circulating chain. The rachet wheel is mounted on a drive therefor through an elastic material so that the torque for the drive shaft is elastically transmitted to the rachet wheel when the guide bar is delivered between the rachet wheel and the chain. With this arrangement, it is always possible to smoothly transfer the guide bar between the rachet wheel and the chain without jamming of the apparatus.
