A domain model specification is obtained, the domain model specification comprising: an entity definition defining an entity of a data repository to be provisioned; and an operation definition defining one or more operations to be supported by the data repository to be provisioned. An instance of a data repository is generated based on the entity definition and operation definition of the domain model specification.

Document management system for a medical task

The invention relates to a system for zooming an image displayed in a viewport, wherein the image comprises a plurality of regions, each region of the plurality of regions having a zoom function associated with the region, the system comprising an input unit for receiving a region input for selecting a region of the plurality of regions and for receiving a zoom input for zooming the image, and a zoom unit for zooming the image based on the zoom input, using the zoom function associated with the selected region. The zoom function associated with each region of the plurality of regions may be defined in any way deemed useful. For example, it may be defined in such a way that the selected region or an interesting portion of it is displayed in the viewport or, vice versa, the selected region or an interesting portion thereof is removed from the displayed view of the image. Advantageously, the user does not always need to precisely select the zoom center, as the application will select the zoom center, based at least on the selected region.

Zooming of medical images

The invention relates to a system () for zooming an image displayed in a viewport, wherein the image comprises a plurality of regions, each region of the plurality of regions having a zoom function associated with the region, the system comprising an input unit () for receiving a region input for selecting a region of the plurality of regions and for receiving a zoom input for zooming the image, and a zoom unit () for zooming the image based on the zoom input, using the zoom function associated with the selected region. A system () is provided for analyzing image data representing image intensities of an image volume, the image intensities having a signal dynamic range. The system () comprises an analysis subsystem () for accessing display data defining a set of display settings for display of the image volume, each one of the set of display settings causing a different sub-range of the signal dynamic range to be mapped to a display dynamic range during the display. During operation, the analysis subsystem () analyzes the image data to identify, for each one of the set of display settings, a region of the image volume which comprises image intensities within the respective sub-range, thereby identifying a set of regions of interest, and generating analysis data () identifying the set of regions of interest. As such, the user is enabled to quickly navigate to regions in the image volume which contain meaningful visual information when displayed using the respective display settings.

A volume visualization, i.e volume rendering, system comprising a feature detector for detecting a feature like a border between body and air (e.g. skin) in an image volume dataset. A distance computing subsystem is arranged for computing a distance from the feature, e.g. a border, a boundary or skin to an image element of the image volume dataset. A weighting subsystem is arranged for weighting an image element value of the image element, based on the distance, to obtain a weighted image element value. A view generator is arranged for generating a view of the image volume dataset, based on the weighted image element value, wherein a view element value of the view is based on the weighted image element value. The view comprises a two-dimensional image view, and the view element value comprises a pixel value.

A system () for generating a key-image from a medical image, the key-image comprising an image area selected from the medical image, the system comprising: &#x2014;an image analyzer () for: i) detecting a lesion () in the medical image; ii) based on anatomical information, identifying an anatomical landmark () which has an anatomical relation with the lesion; and iii) detecting the anatomical landmark in the medical image; and &#x2014;a key-image generator () for j) selecting an image area () in the medical image which comprises the lesion () and the anatomical landmark (), and jj) generating the key-image () so as to comprise said image area.

Generating a key-image from a medical image

A system for maintaining corresponding information in a structured document and in a report is disclosed. The structured document comprises structured data elements and the report comprises text in a natural language. An associating unit () is arranged for associating a structured data element of the structured document with an associated part of the report, wherein information represented by the structured data element corresponds to information represented by the associated part of the report. A determining unit () is arranged for determining a change to one of the structured data element and the associated part of the report, to obtain a determined change. A corresponding change unit () is arranged for making a corresponding change to the other one of the structured data element and the associated part of the report, based on the determined change.

A tumor of interest is classified based on 3-dimensional image data for visualizing the tumor. The system includes an overlay data structure (OL) for computing a TNM (Tumor-Node-Metastasis) overlay for displaying in a tumor image computed from the image data. The TNM overlay includes TNM information for determining the stage of the tumor. An overlay unit (U) computes the TNM overlay based on the overlay data structure, and positions the TNM overlay on the tumor image. The size of the TNM overlay is based on the scale of the computed tumor image. By making the size of the TNM overlay dependent on the scale of the tumor image, the ratio of the distance between two locations on the positioned TNM overlay to the distance between two locations in the computed tumor image is substantially constant, i.e., substantially independent of the visualization of the image data.

TNM classification using image overlays

Disclosed is a method of constructing an object data set of data elements representing a physical property to be displayed, stored or written to a readable medium. The method includes, assigning, by the data elements, data values to respective positions in a multi-dimensional geometrical space, wherein the data values representing a physical property of an object; assigning attributes to respective data elements; deriving relative contributions of the physical property to the data values of the respective data elements; and assigning the attributes to the data elements on the basis of the relative contributions of the physical property to the data values of the data elements.

Volume visualization using tissue mix

A method is presented to calculate the relative contribution of different tissues, or tissue mix, to at least one data element in a medical object data set, the medical object data set containing data elements, the data elements assigning data values to respective positions in a multi-dimensional geometrical space containing more than one tissue, by means by which parameters are calculated for the at least one data element, the parameters being dependent on the data value of the at least one data element and data values of surrounding data elements in the neighborhood of the at least one data element, the parameters being further compared to combinations of said parameters for data elements occurring in the region of boundaries between tissues.

A multi-dimensional data set assigns data values to positions in a multi-dimensional geometrical space. A visualization is derived from the multi-dimensional data set, for example, by way of a volume or surface rendering technique. The visualization is reproduced on a display and parts that have been missed in the display are detected and indicated. For example, a new representation is made on the basis of the detected missed parts, for example, from another point of view and/or another field of view.

Multi-dimensional data set analysis and modeling with improved feature detection

The invention refers to a method of producing a medical report comprising a dynamic image information based on a volumetric scan of one or more internal organs of a subject. According to the method two-dimensional images for simulating a three-dimensional view of the one or more internal organs based on the volumetric scan are calculated using a workstation. The resulting two-dimensional images are next projected on a surface of a geometrical object, which is then unfolded to a two-dimensional flat plane (U,L,F,R,B,D), and stored in a generated textual medical report for further analysis on a low-end computer. Advantageously the stored two-dimensional images are displayed dynamically within the medical report, either as a sequence of images or as a part of a virtual environment.
