An apparatus and method for manipulating a focus of excitation light on or in a sample, particularly in a microscope. The apparatus has a light source for emitting excitation light, an excitation beam path for guiding the excitation light onto or into the sample, the excitation beam path comprising an objective for guiding the excitation light onto or into the sample and a wavefront modulator for modulating the excitation light, and a control device for driving the wavefront modulator. The control device is designed for driving the wavefront modulator to generate a number of shaped waves on or in the sample. A focus is generated at a specified location on or in the sample by superposition of the shaped waves.

Apparatus and method for manipulating a focus of excitation light on or in a sample and microscope

An optical measurement system comprising an optical source configured for delivering sample light in an anatomical structure, such that the sample light is scattered by the anatomical structure, resulting in physiological-encoded signal light that exits the anatomical structure, an optical detector configured for detecting the physiological-encoded signal light, and a processor configured for acquiring a TOF profile derived from the physiological-encoded signal light, the initial TOF profile having an initial contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR) between a plurality of states of a physiological activity in the anatomical structure. The processor is further configured for applying one or more weighting functions to the initial TOF profile to generate a weighted TOF profile having a subsequent CNR greater than the initial CNR between the plurality of states of the physiological activity. The processor is further configured for processing the weighted TOF profile, and identifying one of the plurality of states of the physiological activity.

Time-of-flight optical measurement and decoding of fast-optical signals

A device, including one or more Communication Physical Unclonable Function (CPUF) and key storage devices, the CPUF devices each including: a coherent Electromagnetic (EM) radiation source; a spatial light modulator (SLM) connected to the coherent EM radiation source; a volumetric scattering medium connected to the SLM; a detector connected to the volumetric scattering medium; and one or more processors or circuits connected to the detector and one or more processors or circuits connected to the SLM. A communication protocol is also provided.
